Would any of you be willing to share what your symptoms were leading up to the knowledge that you were having an Ectopic pregnancy and at what week pregnant you were?

Thank you so much, this information could really help me right now! I'm considering if I should be away from home on vacation during weeks 4 1/2 until 6 1/2 weeks of a current pregnancy. I've had 2 m/c's (both D&C's) and the doctor is concerned. If I go away, I need to really know what the symptoms are to look for so I can be really aware of my body!

I had my ectopic occur at around 8 weeks. We already knew at 5 weeks it was non viable. I had a methotrexate shot on a Thursday. That same day I had some light lower back pain/pressure. That continue for a few days. By Monday it was a little worse. By Tuesday I had cramps, a lot of rectal pressure and a slight fever. The cramps were waves of cramps, which got more intense as the night went on. Ended up in the ER with a partially ruptured tube.

Unfortuneatly, there are no symptoms of an ectopic until it gets to a point where it is rupturing your tube.

I had NO symptoms of my ectopic. I had a low orriginal Beta, but the numbers doubled after that. I went in for an u/s at 6 weeks and they didn't find anything in the uterus. The tech asked if I had any pain... I had not. Then she found the baby in the left tube. I had surgery to remove the ectopic and the dr said I was about 2 days away from rupture.

Is there an indication your pregnancy is ectopic for your dr to rec you not to go away?
Are you going to a remote place where you could not get medical attention?

I sure hope this is a good pregnancy for you!

I had my ectopic rupture at 7 1/2 weeks. I had been in to the emergency room on a friday and was told I was just having a miscarriage because I am one of a few woman who had a pregnancy both in my tube and my uterus. We had gone because of spotting and also I had a pain on my left side. Which I had had for weeks and people just told me it was ligament pain but I kind of knew all along something was wrong. Saturday we went to the park and everything seemed fine until around 6pm when I had some terrible pains again we thought it was only from the miscarriage until around 11pm when I started passing out and could hardly breath. I had a terrible pain in my right shoulder which felt like someone was pinching the crap out of my neck and I felt like I had to go poo but could not. If you have the book What to expect when you are expecting it explains the symtoms of an ectopic right to the T. Meaning I had every symtom it says you should have. I hope I did not scare you but this was my experience. I would think by this point your dr should be able to see if you have a viable uterus prenancy or not I went to my dr at 5.5 weeks and you could see everything with my DD pregancy.

I had an ectopic my first pregnancy. I had no symptoms at all. I had a good first beta but it wasn't doubling accordingly. It was still rising though, the rate at which it rose dropped each time. I had an ultrasound at 6w1d to confirm there was nothing in my uterus and that it was indeed in my tube. I had the methotrexate that same day, they wouldn't let me leave the office for an hour while they ran the bloodwork and got the shot from the hospital.

No indication that I would have one. But he still thinks its a chance and being so far from home he woudln't want me not getting medical attention. We're going to Colorado and we live in Ohio.

I think the Doctor might have thought I was camping out in the back country or something. He lessened up on me a bit today and said he'd prefer me close to home but I could go. We just wants me to understand what to look for so I came HERE to ask the experts!
