Unhappy Ectopic & left tube removed

My husband & I have been trying for 2 yrs. It turned out I wasn't ovulating. We were put on Metformin 500mg (3 times a day) for 6 months, but it did nothing. We then tried Chlomid on top of the Metformin at 50mg from day 2 to day 6 of my cycle. I was follicle tracked during the first cycle and I managed to ovulate. I fell pg in my second cycle, but it was tubal ectopic & had a laposcopy to remove the pg and my left tube. I have pcos & sadly on my right remaining tube I don't seem to ovulate from that side. Where as on my left my ovarys are healthy, although I have developed a large cyst (5cm) on my corpus lutium. I have been told my right tube can sweep up an egg from the left! is this true? I'm fed up as my HSG showed I had very good clear tubes & now this has happend. When should I go back on chlomid etc and try again. I am determind to not let this win. Has anyone else had any success after this??? xx

Your situation sounds exactly like mine. My left tube ruptured and was removed due to an ectopic, I have PCOS, and I have cysts and fibroids. I was told that my right tube would compensate for the missing tube and that eggs would "float" to where they needed to be. Unfortunately, I did not have luck with that. I did get pregnant on clomid after the ectopic but that ended in miscarriage. We ended up having to do IVF and I responded well and got pregnant with twins! I know that it is scary to be faced with having to go through more treatments but hopefully it is encouraging to know that in a very similar situation I was finally able to have children.
