2x Survivor of ectopics

My 1st ectopic was in 1991. My left side ruptured and I had to have emergancy surgery to save my life. My second pregnancy was succesful. My daughter was born in 1997. I had a miscarriage in 2005 so I know my right tube is open. I found out I was pregnant again on 10/20/09 . I told my dr right away about my history with ectopics and I was worried. He monitored my HCG levels right from the start. On 10/26/09 I was diagnosed with a Cornual Ectopic pregnancy and admitted into the hospital. My egg was half in the tube and half in the uterus. Thank God I had a good dr that listened to me instead of thinking I was being paranoid. Where my pregnancy was located was very dangerous and could have ruptured (and still could) at anytime. I was given 2 methotrexate shots on 10/29/09. I have to go on Sunday for blood work. I am praying that these shots work. They assured me that the shot has a 90% chance being that I was only 4 weeks pregnant. I just want to say that if you have indeed had 1 ectopic already and do get pregnant again, please encourage your dr to monitor your levels right away. It could save your tube as well as your life!
