Very Worried

Ok so I went to the doctor friday april 13th. He went over my hcg levels which had gone up just not like he would have liked but they did go up.He estimated how far along I am and it was at 6 1/2 weeks long so he did an transvag ultrasound and after ten minutes he said that he couldnt make out my uterus or the gestational sac. Now before we went to ultrasound he said I might not be able to see anything. But is it normal for that to happen? I to medcentral on tuesday for another ultrasound and more blood work for my hcg levels.I am really lost on it because stuff I read says well if they cant see the sac it could be ectopic but he said he couldnt even make out my uterus which is what confused him. Could it be that his ultrasound machine is old and the picture is bad? he said that at the hospital when I go tuesday they will get a clearer and better look. Anyone with any information please let me know its really appreciated thank you.

Sweety if he could not find your uterus than I would not worry too much. Uterus's dont just get up and run away. It is either his machine or his skills. If I were you I would try to not worry. Wait until you go on tuesday and untill then focus on positive thoughts. Dont let your mind runaway on the what -if's.

worried

Thank you for all the support its really appreciated and helps me out alot just hope everything goes right on tuesday. I am just worried that its an ectopic pregnancy. Another thing that has me kinda worried is my hcg levels the way they are slowly going up from april 1st it was 433 april 3rd it was 698 and april 10th they were 845. I dont think I am having any signs of an ectopic pregnancy other than cramping and im not having cramping on just one side. It has been severe and I think that was just because at first I had a urinary tract infection and then after that was gone they would go from being light to severe and I think that migh tbe because my period cramps have been that way. I dont know maybe just wishfull thinking. Anyone that has any advice for me on it please feel free to leave it. Its very well appreciated. Plus like I said I get my ultrasound tuesday along with another hcg bloodlevel. Hope to hear some information on someone elses experience soon. Thank you

still alittle worried

Ok well where to begin I have been posting about my hcg levels and such so bear with me if I kinda repeat myself. Throughout this whole thing since I have found out I was pregnant on march 27th I have had 4 hcg levels done. The first was 433 then 698 then 845 ok well the last one was on tuesday april 17th and the bad thing about that is it went down to 745. Now on monday april 16th I went for an ultrasound and they showed me where everything was and told me what it was and that the heart had started beating a week before that then I found out that my levels had went down. So I called the doctor and they wanted me to come in that day so I did I left as soon as I talked to them my doctor wasnt in because his wife had to have major surgery so I saw another doctor in the clinic. The doctor I saw said I am not having a miscarriage that the ultrasound looked good and that 20 percent of woman can go on to have a healthy pregnancy. Now my thing I am worried about is with the fact that my levels had dropped the fetus will stop growing. Does anyone have any advice or any experiences on it. If so I would greatly appreciate any of it. I guess I just dont know what to think right now and I keep wondering if I am pregnant because it just doesnt seem real. I go back to the doctor on may 2nd for an ultrasound and a regular appointment. Unless I start having bleeding or something. Ok well any advice past experiences or anything like that would be greatly appreciated.

I guess my thing I am wondering is is the baby growing which is what I think I already asked so I am sorry if I am repeating myself but I dont know if I already asked this or not but if something was wrong the doctor would have said something? or would have at least been worried right? I mean I know its probably still to soon to know but so far everything is ok I just dont know if they think everything will go alright or not and im always looking for answers. Like I said im sorry if I keep repeating myself I guess its just the worry coming out in me lol. Does a woman always bleed when she has a miscarriage or something is wrong with the pregnancy? or is it possible for you to have a miscarriage and not know it? I asked my doctor and he said yeah if you dont know you are pregnant and start bleeding. Everything I have read says you will bleed if you are having a miscarriage or something is wrong cause your body will try to get rid of it. Does anyone know how you can tell other than ultrasound if the fetus stops growing????? ok I think im done for now so any advice or information is well excepted please and thanks.

Maegan, I wish I had answers for you. Unfortunately I don't. What I do know is that it is possible to have a "missed miscarriage" which means the baby stops growing but there are no change in symptoms and no bleeding. But many women feel cramping and experience bleeding, just keep in mind that we are all different. I'm glad they were able to find the baby and that it's in your uterus. Try your best to rest and relax, excess stress isn't good for either of you. If you need further assurance you can always request another beta or two this week or beg your doctor for another ultrasound. As my doctor told me "it's your money, it's your body." Best of luck to you!

Thank you for the advice jen I thought the same thing because I have been reading alot on the internet and thats what it says but when I told my doctor he was just like no its when you are pregnant and dont know it and start bleeding. I am so afraid that im going to have a miscarriage and not know it and the baby stop growing. My levels have already went down but the doctor didnt seem to concerned because she just said that yes its a cause for concern but 20 percent go to have healthy pregnancies and babies. Before I had my ultrasound I had alot of cramping and at times was severe but then when they did the ultrasound it eased my mind when they saw what they did and it was where it was supposed to be. I found out after the ultrasound that my levels had dropped. So thats what has been concerning me since I know that cramping is normal and like I said I had severe cramping before my ultrasound so I thought for sure I was having a miscarriage. I go back may 2nd for my next ultrasound. I dont think they will do anything else at this point I mean now im not cramping hardly at all and im not bleeding and havent had any bleeding at all. The doctor said unless I have bleeding or something like that I just go back in 2 weeks. I know im only between 6-8weeks but its like I need to know everything is going to be fine. I have had 3 miscarriage in the past. So I worry and wonder alot. I dont know maybe I worry to much and everything will be ok. Everyone keeps telling me everything will be fine and all t his but its hard to believe sometimes with my past even though I do believe that it will be especially because the doctos dont act like there is any cause for concern at least not right now.

Something else I forgot to add is that with all 3 of my last miscarriages I had bleeding thats why its so weird to me that you can have them and not know it. I guess you could say more scary than not knowing.

I am feeling the terror right there with ya! My betas have been rising, but they are not very high and didn't get even close to doubling. I have absolutely no symptoms of miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy, but I am TERRIFIED!!! I finally requested an U/S for Friday because that's the only way they can really tell what's going on. I'm really happy to hear that your U/S revealed a baby in your uterus. I'm not sure about the possibility of having a miscarriage without realizing it, but I think we just have to keep our hopes up that everything is just fine. Doctors don't always know everything and since everyone is different, our pregnancy symptoms will vary. Best of luck to you and keep us posted!!

Ok where to start on monday april 16th as I said I had my ultrasound and everything was ok. Since then I had saw pink discharge and cramping I was really worried so I let it go since my doctor had said some of that is normal. Then on monday april 23rd I had some pink discharge that was more than what I had saw before so I called my doctor well I had to leave a message so I went to the er. They were busy so I had to wait a while then the nurse came in and took my vitals and all then she came back in and asked me if the doctor had done the heart tones so I said not yet so she tried it and she got a trace of it but she couldnt keep it but it was at 143. Then the doctor came in and asked me his questions and said he was going to do a vaginal exam and take blood and do a urine sample. So they all came to get my blood and urine sample they said it would take like 20-30mins then about an hour or so later the doctor came in and said the lab results werent back yet he was going to do the vaginal exam. The doctor said my cervix is closed which is good and thats its possible to see some pink discharge but if it gets worse or like a period to go to the doctor. He went out of the room then we waited for 3 more hours for my lab results and when he got them he came in the room and said that I have a bladder infection and said my beta results were at 1470 now something I had mentioned in one of my last posts that my levels had went down from 845 to 745 in a week but now they are up to 1470 so I was happy about that but they are rising very slowly. So he said see my doctor in a week or two now my thinking was if something was wrong or majorly wrong like miscarriage or something he would have said get to your doctor within a few days or something right? I dont know that was just my guess or if something more dramatic occurs to get to the doctor as soon as I can. I have had cramping even before I found out actually was worse before I found out but at the ultrasound i was really relieved because everything was good then wednesday I went to the doctor and they said your not having a miscarriage ultrasound looked good cause I had it done at the hospital so I go may 2nd for my next ultrasound. I am just worried my baby will or has stopped growing. I have had no symptoms of pregnancy even before my ultrasound just cramping and pink discharge and I still have it at times but i saw the little fetus and they said the heart had started beating a week befor ethat. When the doctor at the hospital did my pelvic he said my cervix is closed like I said which is a good sign because nothing was coming out like tissue or anything. So I think thats about it for now if anyone has anything to add to it or anything like that feel free I need all the advice I can get.

That is a great sign that your cervix is still closed. The bladder infection can cause the pink discharge since it is irritated. Seems like the ER doctor took all the right precauctions and checked everything that he should have. Just make sure you follow up with you doctor and let them know how long the pink discharge goes on for. Try to stay as calm and relaxed as you can! I know it is hard but sounds like everything is going well so far...beta is rising!
Congrats girl! Hang in there! Good luck and keep us updated!

Thank you so much I thought everything was going ok but for some reason I keep thinking its not growing not sure why I guess im just worried alittle since I have had 3 miscarriages. But so far what all has been done has been ok and the er said they will fax everything to my doctor so they will get it before I go in next wednesday. That makes me so happy I am really excited because this will make my first child but fourth pregnancy I just hope everything keeps going good I will definatly get ahold of my doctor if I think something is wrong. So far its still just pink discharge and it isnt constant everytime I go to the bathroom. I didnt think about it being from my infection but thats possible I just wish the cramping would go away.
