What an awful ordeal. Your dh sounds amazing and you are very very brave. Strange how in the midst of the agony you still remember modesty (your comment about putting on the pj bottoms made me smile through my tears). Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It's people like you who help others prevent worse tragedies. I would not have known what to look for or what to do if it had happened to me. Now I know the warning signs.

Im crying too after reading your post. I am so grateful that you are ok (and alive)! Your story makes everything we are going through seem so small and insignificant. Your DH is truly your guardian angel, for that we need to all recognize what amazing husbands we have in our lives. They came first before all this talk of babies.

JenCat, I am so happy that you are okay. And having been through and ectopic, I must say that ANYONE experiencing severe pain after having a positive preg test really MUST have their drs see them again immediately or go to the ER. I can't BELIEVE that your dr only gave you percocet and methotrexate. Have you talked to them about what you experienced? I am so so sorry that you had to go through this jenCat and I am so glad that you made it through. And yes, I am now currently pregnant, through ivf, 3 months after that awful metho shot (i was told no ttc for 3 months because of the shot) and I pray that you will be pregnant soon w/ a wonderfully uneventful pregnancy. But for now, take care of yourself, relax and regain your strength. I'm crying now for you!

Oh JenCat. It was very brave of you to post your story to try to help others. I can not imagine the pain and emotions you have been through in the past week. I am grateful you have a wonderful ER surgeon that helped you through this horrible evening and was close by. So many women on our board live far from medical care so this is an important story for us all. Your DH sounds like a wonderful and caring man. Please take care of each other right now. This is a tremendous loss for you both. We all care about you and hope your health will improve every day.

Thanks to all of you wonderful ladies! You are such a huge part of my support network.
Last night at 2am DH had to take me to the ER again-I had a severe migrane (still do). They gave me IV drugs that helped, did a CT on my brain (no bleeding so that was good) and checked my blood count and it was even lower than when I left the hospital. Last night I threw up my iron pill with the small amount of dinner I ate. Today I have been able to keep about 5 saltine crackers down.
I am glad so many of you found my info helpful. I pray none of you have to go though this, but I want you to know the signs so you can get help ASAP. Love to you all.
