Question for those who have had ectopic
What were all your signs of ectopic? Including HCG and progesterone if you know it.

Well, the morning it happened, I got out of bed and felt a "pop" on my left side... it didn't occur to me at the time that that might have been my tube rupturing, but it did later. It hurt for a moment but I got up and went about my day. Later on that day I was feeling cramps just under my ribcage (below my armpit) and they were cramps like I'd never felt before. The cramping got worse and I started throwing up...
...unfortunately, there were no warning signs up to that point. My beta numbers didn't double properly the second time but had doubled sufficiently the third time so they didn't think twice about it. My prayers go out to you, sweets. It's a very scary thing to deal with when you don't have any warning... ![]()

I don't remember much about it and wasn't having hcg and progesterone and all that checked at the time but I do know that it had me doubled over in pain and that I was bleeding a lot by the time we discovered it was ectopic. Sorry I am not much help but wanted to offer my 2 cents - it was years ago and all of the troubles and pains that have occured in between are clouding my memory :-(.

My HCG levels started out low (21), and though they doubled well for the first 2 weeks, they went down and then were erratically going up and down over the following week. The highest they reached was in the 900's. They weren't testing my progresterone. I also had had brown spotting from the day before my period was due (some kind of deep purplish) and had 2 days of bleeding - once at 5 weeks and once at 6 and 1/2. I had a significant amount of cramping in my left side as compared to my right. Also, my left shoulder and arm were hurting and numb on and off. They saw nothing in my uterus at the ultrasounds (though my HCG wasn't necessarily high enough to have seen something) - they did a d&c and my HCG continued to rise. So they finally concluded it was ectopic. They were able to treat it with methotrexate, thankfully.
So, did you have your u/s where they saw the sac after posting here? Congratulations! The chances of having a uterine pregnancy and an ectopic are really, really slim - something like 1 in 30,000.

With my ectopic pregnancy my HCG levels looked great for the initial and second test. However, it was after that we noticed the numbers continuing to rise but at a lower percentage each time. (30%, 10%, stall and then falling betas). My progesterone was on the low end of normal but he never told me a number. After the beta fell we did an ultrasound to confirm there were no signs of pregnancy in my uterus and then had the methotrexate injection. Since I was so anal about having my blood draws done we caught it early enough to save my tube.

When I went to my first OB/GYN appt, he couldn't find a sac but said that he might be too early to tell but did a beta. Days later I started having some mild cramping followed by spotting. I went to the hospital and they couldn't find a sac either but my beta's had doubled (don't remember exact #'s). We had family over to announce the pregnancy the next day and I started bleeding. We didn't say anything to anyone because we had suffered a MC 4 months earlier and we just prayed and tried to look @ the positive (beta #'s). I stopped bleeding the next morning but still had cramping. The day after I called my doctor because I started spotting and then later started bleeding. They told me to go to ER where the Ectopic was confirmed and was about to rupture (I was a little over 7 weeks by last AF). It was scary, but I'm happy to be alive!

I just had an ectopic in March. The only symptoms I had was slight cramping and bleeding in early pregnancy. My progesterone started off low (sorry, can't remember exact #), however HCG was fine and went up like it should. My 1st ultrasound he didn't see anything and thought it was ectopic so he was gonna give me the "shot." I went in 2 days later for a repeat ultrasound because my numbers went up and there was a lot of fluid and still nothing in the uterus. I was supposed to come back that afternoon to get the shot, but didn't make it. The fluid he saw was actually blood. I started having the worst cramps of my life, it hurt to move. Sure enough it ruptured. He did save my tube.
Hope you the best!

Ectopic
I had a suspectec ectopic. Only sign something was wrong was mild cramps and bleeding. Ultrasound showed no sac so my hormone levels were monitered over a week. They didn't go down so I was given Methotrexate and my levels came down. It felt like it went on forever. Fortunately I have a supportive husband, we helped each other through it. Two years on and I had a lpaproscopy in September, which showed lesions on my ovaries and endometriosis. I was told last week that I'd only get pregnant through IVF and was really upset. My period was late and I took a pregnancy test today, which is positive. This is my third pregnancy, the first time I miscarried then the ectopic so I'm reallyhoping that it's third time lucky for me but not getting my hopes up, been there. I wish you all the very best for a fertile future!

I am new to this all together
I had an ectopic after a tubal reversal which resulted in losing my left tube. I went to the dr yesterday and it didnt seem to hopeful. Well I take that back... He did confirm for me that my Right ovary DOES ovulate there is a follicle 17mm that showed on U/S but he said after readinf my OR that the dye spillage back into the VJJ didnt make him hopeful. I looked at the OR from the reversal and all seemed to flow through fine. I asked him if this meant my only tube was blocked he said that is what he'd presume. I would need another HSG. Is it possible that when she did the dye test DURING my ectopic surgery that my uterus and tube couldve contracted and not let it flow easly? I have read this but not sure.... Im on cd 12 today ?? should i try???

I felt a very sharp pain in my left shoulder around 6 weeks. Breathing in was hard to do. My HCG did not double and my progesterone levels were low. I also spotted bright red blood for a day. I ended up at the ER on vacation with a cornual ectopic and had to have a mini c-section because the fetus had implanted partly in my left tube and party in my uterus. It was horrifying. I lost my left tube and decided that I would not try for anything through the tubes again.
