2 ectopics of unknown location in a row! what happens now

i had my first ectopic in nov2007, i was treated with methatrexate which was just awful. 6 months on and in may i have again been treated with methatrexate for a second ectopic. Im 24 have a 3 year old son and im desperate to add more babies to our family. Do you think il ever concieve properly? is there anyone else with 2 ectopics in their history? i just feel so alone and the thought of never having anouther baby is ripping up my emotions...advice needed please

I am sorry you are going through this. Have you had an HSG done to see if your tubes are blocked? Are the ectopics in the same tube?

I would definitelyl get some testing done to see what is going on in your tubes. Once you get that fixed, doesn't seem like you have a problem conceiving, so you should be okay.

I had two ectopics before having my 3 year old son. The 1st ectopic was treated with methotrexate, and the 2nd one resulted in losing my tube. I would strongly recommend the HSG - some women get pregnant very easily after this procedure. Otherwise, IVF is a good alternative as it bypasses the tubes. You can still have an ectopic though, even if you do IVF (it's rare). Hugs to you,
