question about endo

I just had my first laporoscopy. All they found was stage I endo and two polyps. Can this prevent pregnancy? I have not had my post op appt yet. Unfortunately I don't think this is the cause of my infertility, but still grasping for something other than current dx of premature ovarian failure. very disappointed

What was the lap like. I am probably going to have one this month, my Dr. said if my IUI did not work then he wanted me to have a Laporoscopy done because of a gray area in my U/S that he can't explain. Did it hurt? Did you have to take time off of work? I have no clue on what to expect or what questions to ask my doctor.

Sorry I don't have an answer for you, only questions. However, my mother-in-law told my DH that her cousin about 10 years ago had a lap and had the endo removed and she got pregnant right away. That's positive.

I think if I do have endo then it will be the early stages because this gray area was not there several months ago. I'm also fighting a high FSH and Sperm antibodies. I had good results on my IUI as far as eggs being released so if the Lap does find something and clears it up we'll probably try the IUI w/ chlomid again. Whatever it takes, I'm in it til the end.

Best wishes and luck to you.

I'm still new with the endo thing but have been doing alot of reading. No one knows why some women with endo experience infertility and some do not. Also, there is very little correlation between the severity of the endo and infertility. Some women with stage 1 are infertile and some with stage 4 have no problems. It is a huge mystery. They only know that women with endo have higher rates of infertility and that removing it properly can restore fertility. It's really just a huge mess if you ask me. So, lap is scheduled for Monday and I'll just go from there. Best of luck on your journey. We'll all just keep learning together, I suppose
