ME!!! I got pregnant one month after my RE removed stage II endo during a lap. He did say it could come back but the pregnancy may help keep it from flaring up. Endo can cause painful periods. Mine didn't, but it's possible. In fact, the only symptom I had was infertility.

I had stage 1 when I was diagnosed. I had horrible pain with it. That was back in 2003. I was told to have kids then but I wasn't at a point where I really could. Check out my siggy to see the time frame. I didn't have any fertility treatments but we were about to start testing.

I had endo (moderate...they used that word for me) removed the first time in 1994. I got married i 1995. We tried for 18mo to concieve. I went to a specialist and within a month I was pregnant. She did NOTHING for me yet. I got pregnant on my own. I had two babies, then it came back.
My last surgery was in 2000. My OB then told me the 6 months after having the endo removed was the most fertile time. It took 7 months. Besides my first she was the longest. I have had a total of five kids, no miscarriages. They all came on thier own. My sister in law had a minor case, no pain but infertility has not had anymore. She had 2 girls before she had any trouble. She still has no pain. But she can't have any more kids. Pain doesn't mean much. I'm sure she would take my pain and be able to have kids. I had a worse case and went on to have 5 kids. This disease is no fair. It doesn't pick and choose nicely. I hope you are now pregnant and enjoying that feeling. If not, I hoep it comes soon for you. I am now almost 3yrs past havingmy last child and am facing another lap. The pain has lasted for 15 days straight this time. I'm for you and sending I hoep you can be doign a happy soon!Shelley |
