Endometriosis Surgery Question

I have endometriosis just like other women here.

I had a Laparoscopy in August of 2007, obgyn removed the endo from my left ovary. she also did a dye test and found my left fallopian tube is not working.

Pain has come back in the last few months. Obgyn recommended having another surgery in the next 2 months to remove my left fallopian tube because it isn't working and will not lessen my chances of getting pregnant with everything on the right side of my body.

I am looking for thoughts please.

I've had 3 surgeries for endo. I never was able to get pregnant on my own and we did IVF. I know a few women who were successful after having a tube removed and conceiving naturally

good luck to you

Cathy

Mel
here's my story. I went to my GYN she did a lap in 06' found I had stage 3 endo and my left tube was also closed. Well we did three rounds of clomid and some other stuff not to mention 6 months of lupron after the lap. I ended up going to an RE (fertility specialist) he immediately wanted to do a lap because he was convinced that he could reopen my tube. I agreed! Once he got in there my endo had dryed up a great deal thanks to the lupron so not much to scrap away and two my tube was in fact open but I had a diverticulum on the edge that had formed witch my have blocked it or made it appear blocked. Therefore he corrected everything and I have three months to ttc naturally before beginning meds again. So my only advice is perhaps you may want to be referred to an RE. They really are much more experienced and more informative then GYN's. JUST FYI! Let us know what you decide.
