Newly diagnoised endo trying to conceive

Never knew I had endometriosis until I started trying to conceive. Found 5.5 cm cyst on right ovary and smaller cyst on left. Had a lap and found endo everywhere, colon,appendix,bladder....tube. Left tube doesn't look good(high risk for tubal). Is there anyone else out there that can relate or help. Now they tell me to try and conceive x 2 months if not then IVF. I'm scared. I am even afraid to try and get pregnant know due to my tube. Any help would be much appreciated

You are not alone. I had no idea I had endo until I started going to my RE. I was diagnosed w/unexplained infertility. I went through 3 IUI's before they found a cyst on my right ovary. I had a lap done at the beginning of Aug to remove the cyst they believed to be an endometrioma. During the surgery my RE found endo on my bladder and on my right tube. I was told that I was pretty much working now with just my left ovary. I knew little information on endo and never in a million years thought this is what would be wrong with me. I never had any symptoms.
My RE did not seem to worried with my damaged right tube & me getting pregnant. She said she would begin focusing on my left side as that would be my best option to conceive. She wanted to begin my 4th attempt at IUI immediately but a cyst found on my left ovary stopped that. I was put back on the bcp to shrink the cyst. I will be going in tomorrow for an ultrasound to see if the cyst is gone. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Good luck with everything!
You are not alone

I was diagonsed with State 2 back in April when I pushed my OB to do a lapo bc we weren't getting pg after 8 months of trying and my mom had endo. Sure enough, I had it! Had no idea, no symptoms at all! Since then, I've been working with a RE and have had 2 unsuccessful IUIs and 1 failed IVF. On to IVF #2 in Oct. Endo does not affect IVF outcomes at all, especially if your tube is affected bc IVF avoids the tubes all together. Your success rates are the same as other infertile women without endo. I hope that makes sense!

I didn't know I had endo either until we tried for a year to get PG w/ no success, even though I have 2 other children and got pregnant with them w/ no problem.

I had a lap and found to have stage 4 endo. Mine was also EVERYWHERE...they couldn't even get it all w/out doing damage to my bowels so after the surgery I actually did Lupron injections for 6 months even though my specialist told me my chances of getting pregnant w/out IVF was slim to none. Well I got pregnant the same month I took my last shot....so Lupron is an option you should consider before IVF...really the side effects were nothing to me...but everyone is different...it was well worth it...I LOVE lupron and would take it again if I had to in order to get pregnant again. Good Luck!
