Endo Questions

Hi~ I'm hoping someone can shed some light and possible give me so hope in regards to endomitriosis. I have been going thru an IVF cycle and on 10/31/08 I had my ER done. Up until this point I was told my husband and suffered from unexplained infertility since all of our test were perfectly ok and they couldn't find anything wrong and could not understand why after 3 years of TTC i never got pregnant. After my ER my doctor came in and stated the first egg retrieved appeared to be endomitriosis. On 11/5/08 I had my ET. I'm schedule for my Beta tomorrow, however i am expecting a . I POAS Friday, Sunday, and Today and they were negative. I know the Endo can effect implantation, but i'm curious abotu what can be done to correct this problem.

I had a lap(laporoscopy) to diagnose and remove my endo. I didn't realize they could diagnose endo from an ER. From what I understand, the only way to get a definite diagnosis is with a lap. After my lap, I was lucky enough to conceive naturally. My endo was faily mild and I had a very experienced RE who removed the endo. Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions.

I can't answer your questions, I got pregnant naturally right before starting testing (was diagnosed endo during a lap in 2003 for possible cyst/adhesion removal--wasn't cyst or bad adhesions, was endo). I do want to wish you good luck and I will be praying for you.

Thanks for the infor the information. When i had my ER and they retrieve it was filled with blood and my doctor advised me there was only to things that caused that and the 2nd thing was ruled out. My doctor suggested i only do the Lap if i'm in pain or if the next IVF doesn't work. I appreciate the information and if I have any other questions I will be coming back to ask you

I don't know if I agree with your doc. (but I'm not a doctor) I would get the surgery before I paid another IVF cycle. I too have Endo w/no symptoms and my OB suggested we get it cleaned out for a better outcome not only for IVF but for a possible sex baby!
