Lap done Tues... not endo

So I am not exactly clear on my entire diagnosis since my doc jetted before I came to and my hubby doesn't take everything in that the doc said.

They ended up doing lap. and hyster. Apparently there was an adhesion covering one of my ovaries. Once that was cleared out of the way, they found cysts on both ovaries. The doc also found cervicitis (a bacterial infection) in my cervix. The surgery ended up being more intense than they thought it would be and the doc said he had to be "rougher" because everything in me was so small and he couldn't get to them (I am a pretty small person at 5'1).

I am in a lot of pain still three days after surgery. I am having vaginal bleeding and it still hurts to urinate because they had to cathaterize (spell?) me. I was really not expecting to be in this much pain.

We meet with the doc on Jan. 13 to discuss next steps. This procedure was so difficult on me though, I told DH that I don't know that I am tough enough to withstand pregnancy and child birth. We have two beautiful boys that came to us through adoption and I am now leaning a little harder toward that route for #3.

Lap

I had my DD via c-section and let me tell you, the lap I had done a month ago hurt as bad, if not worse, than that. I think it takes you off guard because you aren't expecting it to be so bad. I went through 2 bottles of Vicodin and felt bad for about a week and a half. It does get better, just make sure you take it easy and take the meds they give you. Try to keep on top of the pain.

You will be able to handle pregnancy and childbirth!
