Post abnormal ovulation

HI ALL

does it happened to anyone that you are ovulating normally but luteal phase is longer than is supposed to be.
my doc told me recently that the only abnormal thing she found about my ovulation is its happening a few days before its suppose to happen ,means my uterus is not ready for the fertilization at that time when my eggs get matured and released.
if anyone know something about it ,plz help.

thanks.

Hi MMPQ

I really do not know when I am ovulating ( I also have endo stage IV). I have being bying the Ovulation kits but have not seem to be getting them on the right days. I have already have all of the fertility testing including the lab work, but I falied to ask the doctor if I had ovulated. I think there is a problem with that, the only problem with me is that my endo is so severe that conceving naturally is alomst impossible.

I have stage IV endo and have a really messed up ovulation schedule. I have just finished my first IVF cycle (failed) but through the monitering process we found out that I start to grow an egg DURING my menstrual cycle,(i also used OPK through a whole month and never got a positive, then again I never tested while I was bleeding). The RE i was seeing said it was extremeley rare but not a problem with IVF cuz they chage your whol cycle. Well, since the failed IVF i have had a consult with a new RE and he thinks that I might have a chemical deficiency. He explained it as there is a chemical that is relased from the ovary to the pituitary gland in the brain that tells it not to grow an egg during your luteul phase and the fact that I am growing one then my eggs might not be of the best quality ad that while it's not proven researchers have found links to certain chemical imbalances and antioxidants (that effect the implantation of embryos) in women with Endo. His take is that instead of starting me on day 3 of my cycle with IVF he is going to start me during my luteul phase. Again, none of this is concrete cause unfourtunatley they still don't know alot about endo, but my thought was at least this new RE is thinking outside the box. Hope this helped a little bit....

I was stage 1 when I was diagnosed but that was in 2003. I will probably be having surgery again very soon and I am sure that I will be stage 3 or 4 by now. I am soo bloated, I look like I am about 3 months pregnant. It is very frustrating. I don't think I'm ovulating at all right now (you can look at my siggy). I'm sorry you are going through this. There are soo many of us that deserve to be moms but for some reason it has to be hard to get there. (hug)
