Hi I am new to this forum. I am trying to seek information regarding Depot Lupron and IVF. I have had 3 failed IVF cycles and suffer from endo. Before the next cycle we are considering a course of Depot Lupron. I have a bunch of questions related to Depot Lupron therapy and IVF cycle success/fail.

1. How many months of Depot Lupron did you take?
   
2. How soon did you start stims IVF cycle?
3. Did you take BCP after the DL and before the stims started?
4. What was your IVF protocol? (Long Lupron, Antagonist, Microdose Lupron,EPP etc)
5. Did your cycle right after the DL succeed?
6. If not how many more cycles did it take and did you do DL again?cycle details etc please?
7. Any other details I may have missed

I would really appreciate some responses. I have been trying to seek this info on another forum and haven't heard anything at all!!

pria - great post! I'm sorry I didn't come across it sooner! Here's my experience:

1. How many months of Depot Lupron did you take? I took 5 months of 3.75 (July 18-November 20, 2008). I was going to do the full 6 months, but it did absolutely nothing for me, and the side effects were unbearable. I ended up losing my job because my doctor at the time would not provide my employer with documentation for time I had to take off because of the side effects.
2. How soon did you start stims IVF cycle? I started my IVF cycle April 27, 2009. My doctor advised me to wait at least 3 months from the last shot of Lupron-Depot before TTC.
3. Did you take BCP after the DL and before the stims started? I was on BCP continuously from November 2008 to May 3, 2009
4. What was your IVF protocol? (Long Lupron, Antagonist, Microdose Lupron,EPP etc) My RE had me on the standard long Lupron protocol.
5. Did your cycle right after the DL succeed? As you can see from my signature, this cycle was successful
6. If not how many more cycles did it take and did you do DL again?cycle details etc please? n/a
7. Any other details I may have missed Just keep in mind that what works for one woman may not work for the next, but it IS possible for an IVF cycle to be successful after being on the Lupron-Depot treatment.
