endo and poor responder
Hi, I have mild Endo and I have done 1 IUI and 2 IVFs, all
 ... My RE says that I am a poor responder due to my Endo (I produce very few eggs and most are immature). Have any of you had this problem? If so, which protocol has your RE used for IVF stimulation? Are you seeing an RE that specializes in "poor responders"? I really appreciate all your answers! I'm trying not to loose hope... Thanks!

Me: 34. Mild Endometriosis. DH: 40. Mild varicocele but great sperm count & quality. Live in NYC with 3 dogs  and 1 cat TTC 5 years oct-jan '07 chlomid 50mg, nothing....  10/2/08 lap to remove endo 10/8/08 Lupron Depot for 3 months 3/18/09 1st natural cycle ovulated 4/13/09 2nd cycle low Progesterone levels, did not ovulate  5/26/09 1st IUI 1st IVF 7/30 ER 6 Eggs retrieved all immature.. 1 matured and fertilized /ICSI, cells didn't divide... Transfer cancelled. 2nd IVF ER 9/17 6 eggs retrieved 2 mature, 2 matured in lab, 4 fertilized, 3 embryos. ET 9/20 3 embryos 8cell, 6cell, 4cell moderately fragmented... 3rd IVF Estrogen Priming Protocol

Chila, I had stage 3 endo. After my lap we tried 3 IUI's no success. During the IUI's I would only produce maybe two follicles and mostly on the right ovary. When we did my IVF, my RE used the antagonist protocol, most likely because I was a slow resonder. He never really came out and said I was a "poor responder", but I really wasn't producing many follicles. Anyhow, during IVF, we got 11 follicles, 9 were mature, 6 made it to 5 days, two were implanted and 4 frozen. I now have a happy baby girl who is now 9 months old.
