TTC enometriosis and 2 early miscarriages

Hi, i'm new here but hopefully someone can give me a bit of encouragement??
My partner and i have been ttc for just over a year, i concieved straight away after coming off the pill (which i had taken for 18 years) unfortunately, it ended in an early m/c at 6 weeks. We started trying again straight away but it took 8 months to fall pregnant again, this also ended in an early m/c at just over 4 weeks. Within that 8 months i had a couple of really excruciating monthly cycles. After doing allot of research everything told me i had endo. So i went back to the doctors and told them what i thought was wrong, they dismissed this and thought it was all in my mind, but after me insisting that i wanted something done about it my doctor eventually sent me for an ultra sound scan, on the scan they found 2 small endometriomas (chocolate cysts) i am on the waiting list for a laporoscopy to see exactly where the endo is and how bad i've got it.
I just want to know if anyone has had any similar experiences and whether you have been successfull or not. Really sorry for theis long post, but i am at my wits end .
I would like to know both successfull and unsuccessful stories please. I am age 35
Thank you

2 early m/c's

I have mild endo and just had a lap 3 weeks ago to diagnose/treat it. I did get pregnant 7 months after coming off the pill but had a m/c at 6 weeks. I haven't had any luck since and it's been over a year since we started trying again. From what my doctor tells me, endo has no association with miscarriage. I wondered the same thing, but he assures me there is no correlation. My m/c was "unexplained", so I'm still nervous that the endo could be interferring with implantation.

Good luck with you lap. If you have any questions feel free to PM me.

Thank you very much for your reply. Yes i have also been told countless times that endo does not cause m/c but i am not convinced. I have done allot of research and have read that endo can cause the egg not to implant properly and also if endo is in your tubes it can dammage the egg on the way down. i don't know how true this is but it does make sense. Good luck and if i find out anymore info i will gladly share it.
Thanks

Here's a thread I started about the exact same thing
Miscarriage with Endo?
I know how you feel-I'm just not convinced that it doesn't interfere either. I have endo on my bladder, uterus and ovaries but with the lap my RE was able to laser it off and he says I will be most fertile for the next 6-9 months. I'm fortunate that I don't have symptoms from the endo, only infertility.

When you do get you lap scheduled, let me know. I'll be happy to walk you through it. It's really a piece of cake-you're asleep the whole time.

I have stage IV endo and have been trying to conceive for just over 2 years with not luck, we are moving on to IVF.
Quite a few years ago(i'vd been diagnosed for 14) I ask both my gyno and RE that if I were to conceive would I have a problem carrying, and both said no! My understanding has always been the reason that endo interfers w/ implantation is because (1) the egg and the sperm can't get together, or (2) they get together and then can't get to the tubes to move to the uterus for implantation. endometriosis is described as endometrial lining that occurs outside of the uterus in an uncommon area. hope all of our answers help and why are you on a waiting list?

Are you in Canada? You said waiting list. I highly recommend that you find a VERY GOOD Surgeon for your endo. Don't take a lap from just anyone who says they are good at it. You want to minimize the number of surgeries you have.

There is an EndoDocs yahoo group where they review surgeons and doctors. It can be really helpful. Some people have conceived after getting their tubes snipped because some of the toxic fluid from the cysts was draining into their tubes. Endo is a complex disease and it may make the journey to pregnancy a little longer than for someone that doesn't have it but Do Not Lose Hope. Just arm yourself with people that understand ENDO! All REs consider themselves good at it.

You can only be diagnosed with endo through surgery. You are most fertile in the next few months after the surgery. There are books on endo out there. Mary Lou Ballweg. Amazon.com: Mary Lou Ballweg: Books

If I can be of any assistance to you, please let me know. In my book, knowledge is power!

Good luck. Here's to you having a long healthy pregnancy soon.

I just wanted to say that it is possible!!! I was diagnosed in 2003 and told my best bet was to get pregnant immediately. I was not married (although I was with my now dh at the time) and just wasn't ready. It took us almost a year to concieve and we were blessed enough to have a healthy pregnancy (aside from the intrauterine growth restriction and the high blood pressure).

I wish you luck and God's blessing in your ttc journey!!!!!!

Thank you all for all your replies. In answer to your question, i live in the united kingdom and i am on the waiting list because the laporoscopy is expensive if we pay private. We have paid private to see a consultant then he has put me on the waiting list (if you pay private for your consultation, then you get the lap done more quickly on the NHS (national health service)
Thanks again everyone, i will keep you posted on how i get on.
