hi, i am new to the method and new to the forum. i have been tracking cm on and off for a while and have been tracking cm/cp every day since last af (plan on starting bbt tracking next cycle). i had the elastic "egg white" cm about two weeks ago, cp was soft and open. dh and i did the bd and all that good stuff before, during, and after ovulation all that week. i was very excited having a good feeling that it was going to happen this time.

the cm dried out a bit after that, becoming tacky with not as much there, which was expected and is normal for me. but now my cm is becoming very creamy and slick. my cp is high, very soft and open. this just seems very strange and unusual for me. am i getting ready to ovulate again? i don't think this is it because the cm is not elastic at all. what happens with the cm/cp before af? what happens to the cm/cp when pregnancy occurs? i am expecting af in about a week, the beginning week of october, and am going to take a hpt around that time if it doesn't come.

in the last week i have had an increase in moodiness, bloating, and occasional queeziness. it could be pms, but i don't normally get pms. what is the deal?

i hope all of this makes sense. i would really appreciate any advice or information about this. i need help! thanks!

If you can get a copy of the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility I strongly suggest it. I don't have my copy handy and it's still pretty new to me too. How many DPO are you?

If I remember right the CP typically returns to low, hard and closed after O so if it's been a few weeks and it's still high, soft & open I'd be buying a HPT.

It is also possible to have a "false" O so to speak. Your body prepares for it but some event/stress causes you body to not release an egg and once it's ready it will go through the fertile stages again this time actually releasing an egg causing a longer than usual cycle.

Sounds like you should try a HPT. how many days is it after the first day of your last mc? You can get HPT that can read correctly from 20/21 days. good luck!!
