Question about monitoring

I am wondering what everyone else's experiences are with the monitor. I usually "try" the day of the "egg" and two days later and before the first peak day. What is everyone else doing? Are you trying the day after the first day it shows peak, "egg"? I usually get two days of the peak "egg". Thanks,

I usually "try" when it shows the high level. Depending on how long that lasts we will do it every other day. Then when we get the "egg" we do it both those days and the day after. I get the egg for 2 days as well.

From what I understand it is best to "try" before ovulate since the sperm can live for up to 4 days. So, after a few days after ovulation, you are not fertile anymore.

Good luck!!!

I do more or less the same as Ronidog. Remember with the monitor because you only test once a day your surge may indicate that ovulation is happening and the older we are the less time our eggs have to fertilize after they are released. So if you are BD 2 days later it is probably too late, it would be best to start when you get the estrogen surge.

Thanks for the responses. Just want to be clearm ladies, I think I have been waiting too long because I am worried that I will "run out" of sperm by the time I ovualte. I think you are saying that when it raeches High level, either the first or second day, then that's a good time, also when you reach peak, which is usually two days. So if I start at High and BD everyother day, then I only get in two days worth of sperm. Is this right? I guess we could do one more after peak, at high before it goes down completely.

monitoring thoughts

I just started using the clearblue easy fertility monitor this month. Thought I was pregnant the last few days and was so excited. Then AF came today. I know if says that it doesn't necessarily tell you when you ovulate the first month, but I felt that maybe we would be lucky. I was tired and my breasts were sooo sore, which never happens before AF. I had a chemical pregnancy in OCt. 08 and a in Feb. only to have AF show up the next day, it only lasted one day. Now we are on to cycle #2 with Clearblue Easy. Hoping this one works!
