2nd hand monitor

Hi, I have been looking for anyone that has had success in using a clearblue easy fertility monitor second hand. I bought one from a lady who claimed to use it for only 2 cycles. After I read the booklet that came with it I found that cleablue recomends not doing this as it retains the information from the previous cycles it has read, but then again later it mentioned that the monitor is constantly overwriting its information stored in order to provide the most up to date results. I dont know what to think. Could they be claiming this just to get people to go out & buy a brand new monitor, you know a business tactic? I did start using it & am on my first cycle. I guess I will eventually find out on my own but it sure would be uplifting to hear from someone that has had good luck using a used one. Thanks in advance!!!

I haven't used one, so I don't have any personal experience. I'd call the manufacturer as well as asking your doctor.

You can wipe the memory out.. i'm not sure how to do it.. But I post on another site and the girls on there have done it and not had any problems with the monitor.. It's like it's brand new.

I bought one second hand and mine predicted my ov spot on the first two cycles I used it. I bet they say that to discourage people from doing this b/c they want to sell more monitors. I know that it saves the data from previous cycles, but like I said for me it was right on exactly both times.
