help with clearblue easy monitor and clomid
I've used the clearblue easy monitor for the last few cycles and it detected my LH surge around day 15. Well, I'm on Clomid this month and all I get are "high fertility" readings, no peak?????
Is it because I didn't ovulate or because the Clomid is messing with the monitor? Should I try a regular OPK instead? |

You should direct your question regarding the use of any fertility 'monitor' to your professional practitioner. Each patient's use will vary with the treatment, their own body's average functioning, etc. In fact, virtually all of the monitors on the market state just that -- women who are using fertility treatment of any kind should ask their prescribing practitioner how they are to use the monitor.
There are so many variances, and when you throw medication in the mix, you cannot judge by the product's instructions (which are meant for people not using treatment) alone. What you are seeing is almost surely the result of clomiphene citrate.

clear blue
Hmm...I have a clear blue and they say that clomid doesn't interfere. Maybe you should call the manufacturer. They can talk to you on the phone specifically about your case and give you answers. If you had high readings all month, there is a chance that your pee sticks didn't pick up the LH surge as it can surge in the afternoon and be gone by the next day. That happened to me once cycle...I only knew I ovluated because I used a test strip during the afternoon and it picked up a heavy LH surge (the line on the left if you are holding the wick side the to left is the LH surge line, the line on the right is estrogen, and gets LIGHTER when your estrogen is higher). In the am, the line was almost gone. Anyway...call the manufacturer, they'll give you good answers. good luck!
