any luck with fertility monitor? like or hate it?

Hi,

hmmmm...those of you who have used the fertility monitors (CB) what do you think? I purchased one a few weeks ago and am using it for the first time this cycle. Hoping this in conjunction with bbt will shed some light on when I ovulate (perhaps?) if I ovulate, how long my luteal phase, etc...Figured, I would give it a try...

Hey Willow. Welcome to our cozy family, hope your stay here is short and sweet, on the IF board that is . I'm not sure about a monitor but I bought the Ovulation sticks and they didn't really work all too well for me, actually I never seen a positive. Hope you have better luck. See ya around. Happy Chatting!

I use the clear blue monitor and can struggle to get a positive also. I feel it at least lets me know I'm not ovulating often. But did feel it was a waste of money, I should have stuck to the cheaper strips.

Best of luck to you. Try the strips first to see how often you are ovulating before you go out and spend the big bucks on the machine.

Wink

After months of owing a CB monitor, I took it and the 1/2 used box of strips back to Wal-Mart and got a full refund, which I then used to stock up on the more-accurate disposables. That machine, IMO, is a waste of space.

CB tested mine, via a 14 day fed-ex turnaround, and decided that the machine was fine, I was the problem. Things get crazy enough, I don't need CB to affirm that I"m nuts. LOL

So, receipt or not; take it back to WM and get what you want/need.

I have to say I loved my moniter. The very first month I used it (clearblue) I got a bfp! I loved how the moniter could learn my cycle and give me more accurate results, rather than me just staring at the strip and wondering- is that darker than yesterday?? Now that i'm seeing a RE I don't bother with it, just let the RE do his job.

I used the CB monitor for about 9 months and loved it. It was very consistent for me and helped me feel better about what was really happening during my cycles. It was expensive but I felt it was well worth it.

I used opk for like 10 months and now i am switching to the ov watch because i never got a clear positive until i was 6 weeks pregand then mc. I am really loving the idea of this monitor because there is no peeing on a stick. hehehe. Well i will deffinantly let you know how my experience goes with mine as for ( clear blue ) i havent hear any as a result but i have heard over 50 with the ov. Just do your plan and check your cm and cp as well as using the monitor I am sure you will be preggers in no time. lots of
