Hi... I'm new

Hi I am new to this board. I have been struggleing for years with infertility. We tried clomid and was unsuccessful, so we decided to take a small break and look into adoption. We really wanna try for our own again, but I am worried about financing. Does anyone think bake sales and car washes would be acceptable forms of money raising events??? I have also set up a little fundraiser on facebook... I feel guilty asking other people to fund my dream, but I don't see how else we will be able to aford medications plus doctor appointments and ultrasounds.... without any insurance.

If you do a fundraiser, legally you have to state the beneficiary of the 'charity', so you'd essentially be sharing your story with everyone that inquires (or purchases).
Hmmm, I don't know how that poster would read, but I'd buy a cupcake from you.

Every Dollar Counts

The other day as I was waiting at a traffic light I noticed a "homeless" man on the side of the road with a sign that read like all the other ones I have seen. I suddenly got the idea that I should go stand on the other side of the street with a sign that said, Saving for Fertility Treatment, anything will help.

I didn't really do that, but I did have a good laugh at the idea. I am currently hoarding money in every way possible, and I have been keeping an eye on the piggy bank, waiting for the day when I can't fit anymore change into it, then I will be able to sit down and count it.

I just wanted to share my thoughts, and I wish you luck in everything you do.
