Question Affording infertility treatments

hey everybody! I'm new to this forum. I have been on the endo forum and wanted to ask some questions about financing infertility. My husband and I are on our way to our first inferstility doc appt. september 12th, and I wanted to know how some of you have payed for procedures, tests, surgeries, etc...My husband and I are pretty strapped financially and I have no idea where we would come up with $1000 every month to finance the infertility shots if we had to do those. If anyone has any idea where to get money to do all of this let me know! Thank you!

Melren

Hi there. I'm new to the forum too. IVF can be really expensive. I've done fresh and frozen cycle and am about to do another fresh cycle. My insurance does not cover IVF or infertility treatments, but my prescription plan does thankfully cover the drugs. I've had 3 different prescription plans over the last 2 years and they always covered a good portion.

However I switched doctors and my new doctor uses different drugs. I have medication that I would like to donate. It's new and I am not using it so would be happy to donate to people who don't have drug coverage. I will be checking the site to see if anyone replies with interest.

what kind of medicine? I called our drug company and they said they would only pay for surgery related to infertility issues. They won't cover any infertility drugs, though. I also have PCOS...so you might been on some of the same stuff. who knows!

Smile drug donation

I'm new to this forum and I'm interested in what type of drugs you're looking to donate. I'm going in to do my first try at ivf in November. I've done clomid/iui for 4 months then 3 months of Follistim/iui. Docs say I'm ready for ivf and can't believe how expensive it is. My insurance doesn't cover ivf. Please let me know what the drugs are if you don't mind.

Thanks!
