Tax deductions?

Has anyone heard of being able to deduct all these treatments from your taxes? My insurance does not cover IVF, but covers most of the bloodwork and u/s. It also covers most of the meds. I heard somewhere though, that I would be able to deduct from my insurance anything not covered (as long as it totalled 7% of our overall income), along with the milage to and from appointments. Needless to say, I have been keeping track of EVERYTHING!!! (just in case.) I live in PA and was wondering if anyone has either done this, or heard of it. Maybe we can get some money back....Please advise if you have heard of this or done it..and if htere is any truth to it. Thanks a bunch and BABY DUST to you all.....

I think it is anything related to medical treatment over a certain percentage of your income (not sure if it is gross or net). You could probably check out the IRS website for the specifics. Hope that helped.

I have always kept track of my medical expeneses on an annual basis because if your medical expenses total like 15% of your annual income (combined, mine and DH) it tax deductible. I hadn't thought about mileage though, maybe I should start tracking that as well since my appointments will be increasing.
