Integramed Shared Risk Program

Has anyone used the Integramed Shared Risk Program to complete your IVF treatments? My husband and I are looking into this.

Also, how many IF meds are you normally on during an IVF cycle and have you found them cheaper anywhere?

integramed

hi, my name is suzanne and soon i will be going thru integramed's shared risk program. my husband insisted on paying cash for it versus financing it. now, $25,000 later........... we are about ready. they do have a new offer of 2 fresh, 2 frozen transfers for $20,000. I think the dollar amount is really based on a few different factors, such as age--i know that is one. i am 34, and everything checks out ok for me. i believe that you can only have one failed cycle and still qualify.

as for drugs, my first cycle was $2000. i was told that drugs can be anywhere from $2000 up to $5000. Integramed does not cover the drugs.

I don't know who is the cheapest, if you hear of anyone, pls pass it on.

Good luck.

Make sure to read the fine print and ask questions with Shared Risk. Although it's an awesome option for some, for us it wasn't worth it. What they offered us was 3 IVF cycles with ICSI and 3 FET cycles for $24,950. It was more expensive than other options because their prices raise if you are over 35 and also if your RE says you should do ICSI. One clause is that if you don't have any embyos to freeze after your first IVF cycle, you forfeit one of the FET cycles. Same goes for the second and third IVF cycles. There is also a clause in the contract that says you have to complete the program before your 38th birthday. Since I just turned 36, I talked about this with my DH and my RE and we all decided it would be too much stress both physically and mentally to try and fit in all those cycles within a 2 year time period. We made the decision to go for one IVF cycle via self-pay and hopefully we'll have embroys to freeze for a later attempt.

ARC infertility financing

Hi,

If any of you have financed with ARC shared risk program using donor egg, please share your thoughts and experience. We are thinking about this program because RE is listed with them. This is our first time attempting IVF.

They want me to send in an application with $75 fee before they discuss the coverage details and refund criteria. What I understand from the customer service agent is that 1 fresh cycle and 1 frozen cycle for about $35,000. Drugs for me and the egg donor aren't covered. I must complete the contract within 9 months.

Can any of you shed some light on "live birth guarantee or take home baby guarantee"? I understand that once I test positive pregnancy twice, my RE is finished with the treatment and turn me over to my OB/GYN. Pregnancy loss could happen as a result of miscarriage and or still birth, am I entitled to some refund?

I chose to go with Integramed because their 3 cycle plus was $15,900 and Arc's ONE cycle was $12,500 BEFORE ICSI. I think ICSI added on another $1300. I was pretty bummed about that.

Integramed doesn't cover CRYO or anesthesia though. We paid another $510 for anesthesia and $700 for Cryo (freezing). Although, we didn't have any left for freeze so I think we'll get that money back from our clinic.

I like the comfort in knowing that I have more tries, if need be, with Integramed. We chose to finance.

I know there's a lot of questions about it. If I left anything out, let me know.
