Has anyone purchased extra insurance on the side to assist with paying for infertility?

Also, if we have already been diagnosed with infertility, is it considered a pre-existing disease so it wouldn't be covered??

Im not sure about secondary insurance ....

As far as "pre-exsisting", I don't know all the details but if it's "open enrollement", insurance companies typically do not hold condition's against you.

When DH and I got married, we had no idea we would have issue's concieving so I kept my own insurance and declined his. A few month's lator we discovered it wasnt going to be so easy. My insurance cover's Zero for IVF, his cover's a lot. I did have to wait 5 months for open enrollement to come around. One of the customer service people told us that "infertility is not considered pre exsisting anyway" - according to BCBS of Iowa.
