Talbot's offers IVF Coverage

I have an interview with Talbot's on Saturday for a part time position! They offer infertility coverage even for part time employees!

This may be my only shot!!

Just thought some of you may not know they offer coverage!

That's great! Good Luck! How long do you have to work there to get the coverage?

That is excellent news . I believe every employer should offer this coverage for their employee. I was lucky, I worked for the state of NJ and they paid for everything except donor compensation. My total cost was 30,000 but insurance covered 22,000 of that money. I had to only pay the 8,000 donor compensation fee.

I will be working at the clothing store. Same benefits whether you work at the clothing store or corporate. They cover IVF even for part time employees. Also, you only have to work there 30 days before insurance coverage starts.

RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association: homepage provides a whole list of employees that offer coverage.

I agree that all employers should have to cover it. I have signed many petitions and send many emails to congress. I guess for now that is all we can do. Wish I could quit my job and lobby!

I actually applied for a job at Talbots. I found out that to get the plan 'B' part time job you have to consistently work there 20 or more hours a week. They would start me off at 10-15 hours/week- if I get hired. I tried to get enthusiatic even though I've never had a love for clothes. Thanks for tip!

Stephanie-- Just wondering if you are working at Talbots and if they did in fact cover any IVF treatments?

Can you give us an update?
