Mrsh: Hearing you speak about the 'last weeks' makes me remember my last few days. So uncomfortable, everything swollen, immobile! Try and enjoy it none the less. It's weird to say, but I miss my big tummy and feeling them move. Even though having the actual babies to hold is amazing, I now look back and remember my preggy days fondly! And don't worry about the size. I was absolutely huge at the end and two weeks after the birth when I weighed myself I was down 24lbs. You'll be amazed at how much is baby, placenta, amniotic fluid weight. And then of course the general water retention! Which by the way - I am still retaining water 3 weeks after the birth!
AFM: Two of my trips came home yesterday. Zach and Micah are both over 4lbs each and taking the bottle really well. I haven't had much success with breastfeeding. Writing it off to the fact they are still only 34 weeks and learning to suck. And even though I'm expressing, I don't have an over abundant supply of milk so they are getting breast milk every second bottle and formula for the others. I wish I could breastfeed as it would cut down the feeding time. Takes an hour to feed both and then another 20 min to express. At least they are getting some breast milk
Thinking of you all in your last days/weeks.
