So, we do have 1 child, our beautiful miracle. We started ttc in October 2007 and my OB/GYN put me on Clomid almost immediately since he knew of my cysts, irregular period, etc. At the end of January 2008 I had a torsion of the right ovary (the clomid overstimulated my ovary and it grew a large cyst and flipped on itself - OUCH!) I had emergency surgery where they took the cyst and a little of my ovary and then they pinned it so it wouldn't happen again.
No BDing February 2008, started Metformin in March 2008 and on April 4, 2008. I believe it was the surgery, and wish that I could flip the darn thing again!!!
You can read my signature to see what we have done this round. We have been ttc now for #2 for going on 2 years - yuck. Right now I'm doing acupuncture, to relax, I exercise daily (though I'm at a normal weight), I eat relatively healthy, and I'm waiting on my appt. with an endocrinologist tomorrow since some bloodwork last month showed a 4.52 thryoid level - possible hypothyroidism....which would explain a lot!!!
Is it possible to conceive with PCOS? Yes. Can it be a hard, long journey? Definitely. We all just need to keep the faith and hope that it happens for us.
