Age at conception: 31
Diagnoses: Blocked Fallopian tubes
Treatments you tried before IVF: Laproscopy
How many fresh and frozen cycles before success: 1 Fresh
Protocol (meds taken): Natural... no meds except progestrone and 1 ovideral shot
Complimentary treatments (acupuncture, massage, etc.): None
How many days bedrest (if any): My RE said there is no need for a bedrest. I still did for 2 days
How many and quality/rating of embryos/blasts transferred: 2
Symptoms or issues during your successful 2WW: No symptoms at all.
HPT before blood test?: Faint line on 6dp5dt. Clear line the next day
What day you got your BFP: 9dp5dt
Number of first beta: 207
Number of babies: 2
Advice for those going through FET now: Dont worry about the symptoms. You could be pregnant without any symptoms and if you are having any symptoms they could be because of the meds you are taking... So dont ask for symptoms so early.... you will get the full taste of all the symptoms when you are pregnant.

Age at conception: 24
Diagnoses: Unexplained/possible slight MF (morph)
Treatments you tried before IVF: IUI with injectables
How many fresh and frozen cycles before success: Did 1 fresh, 2 frozen, got pregnant on second FET
Protocol (meds taken):
2/18: Got AF
2/19: Started BCP
3/2: Baseline U/S, Start 10 units Lupron
3/4: Last BCP
3/16: suppression check, start Estrace 2x/day and Baby aspirin 1x/day. Decrease Lurpon to 5 units/day.
3/25: lining check
3/29: last lupron

4/1: start progesterone supps 1x/day
4/2: Increase progesterone supps to 3x/day, start doxycycline 2x/day
4/6: Transfer

Complimentary treatments (acupuncture, massage, etc.): none
How many days bedrest (if any): 2
How many and quality/rating of embryos/blasts transferred: transferred 3 blasts (not sure of quality, but not the best ones!)
Symptoms or issues during your successful 2WW: severe cramping for 5-10 minutes night after transfer
HPT before blood test?: Yes
What day you got your BFP: 6dp5dt - thought i saw faint line 3 hours after taking FRER with FMU. took FRER digital (yes/no) and it said YES+! Later that evening, took an Equate, FRER, and CBE digital and all were positive.
Number of first beta: 8dp5dt = 143; 10dp5dt = 332
Number of babies: Was pregnant with twins, but lost one due to small gestational sac.
Advice for those going through FET now: You don't need symptoms to be pregnant! I was sure that it didn't work, but it did. You also don't need to have a chipper, happy, positive attitude either. I was so sure that this cycle wouldn't work because we had just come out of a failed FET cycle with the same protocol, but to our surprise.. it did work! After the transfer I TRULY rested for 48 hours. I only got up to use the bathroom (no showers). I also ate pineapple (esepcially the core) in those 2 days and laid on my left side. I seriously stayed in bed in laying position (last time I had been up sitting on the computer). Just get a bunch of DVDs and have fun! I prayed to St. Gerard and brought a little one of his medallions to my transfer as well.

4/30 #2 (6w+1): spotting. saw 2 HBs! B's sac measuring smaller than A's.
5/4 #3 (6w+5): heavy bleeding over wknd. A's HB 136, B's 113. B's sac still very small - possibly non-viable.
5/8 #4 (7w+2): Baby A grew 4mm, HB 138. Baby B grew 3 mm, HB 134. Still told to expect to lose Baby B since his sac is so small.
5/13 #5 (8w): Baby A grew - has arm & leg buds and even moved a little! HB was 186. Baby B grew also - HB was 164. Still told we will lose him.
5/20 #6 (9w): Baby A wiggling around. Baby B - no HB.

Nervous about FET

Hi all...

Been a while since I was on this forum, wow. I went through IVF (fresh) in 2007. We did SET and my son was born in January 2008. Now we are thinking it's almost time to try again (hopefully beginning of 2010). We have 2 frozen 6-day embies and just have to hope they will both thaw well (or at least one of them will), implant, and grow. I have heard there is such a low chance with frozen--like 35% or something. Seeing your stories gives me hope.

How is FET different from fresh in meds? Which part of the meds do you pick up from (instead of starting with the Lupron)? Sorry to stick my question here...I know this is for success stories. But since there are a lot of successes here, I figure I'll ask.

Thanks,
Cat
