Question?

I did FET in April and received positive result but beta was low. In 2 days it dropped so i ended up miscarrying. Has anyone had this happen to them and then went on to have a full term pregnancy the next time. What does that mean when that happens. I was told that the fresh cycle was unsuccessful because i had a lining issue but this time my uterus was able to get prepped so that's why i received a positive but the reason it did not sustain is because it was an egg issue. Was anyone else told the same thing that had this happen?

Sounds to me like a chemical pregnancy. These are very very common and most people (well most non-IF people who aren't monitored crazily like we are) won't even notice that they are pregnant. I have had 2 chemicals, or possible chemicals, and 2 m/c's that occured at 6 weeks and I am currently pregnant. It is absolutely possible and highly probable. Sometimes it is egg quality issues, sometimes it is just genetic issues in the developing embryo.

Don't give up faith. I am sorry you had to go through that, but it certainly doesn't mean you won't have a successful pregnancy in the future.

That would be me, too. I think it's very common. I know it's hard, but we took some positives away from our first m/c - we knew that my DH's sperm could fertilize and that I could implant. Now we're pregnant again with a stronger bean that will hopefully stick!

Thanks ladies for that reassurance because with all that you go through we need that sometimes. I have 4 embies left and want to use at least 3 but then sometimes i say should i just use two and that way i'll have 1-2 left for next time should they thaw good. It's all so confusing. I pray i have a survivor or two in this next bunch of 4. I'll keep you ladies posted on my progress.
