wannabemommy- Sorry bout your bfn in March. Let me start by saying FET is so much better than going through the whole process of IVF. I had a failed fresh cycle last March too. I proceded to FET in June (we are so much alike ) and got my bfp. I hope you have the same outcome. My protocol for FET was Lupron injections, bcp after period started, estrogent tablets, and progesterone injections 2x daily. I continued progesterone injections for 13 weeks. Every doctor is a little different so I wouldn't stress on that to much. Not sure when my blasts were thawed, but they placed them in while they were hatching. I believe it was the morning of the transfer, and I had my trasfer around noon. Maybe in might help you feel better if you ask what the success rates at your Dr. office is? Not sure, but I sure hope things go well for you, and please let us know how things progress!

Thank you ryan1218 for your reply and keeping my hopes up.
I was so devastated after failed fresh cycle as everything looked so good, Embryologist was praising so much about embryo(even said to me that I am an amazing woman- imagine how I felt about that after failed cycle)

well, Now I have gathered myself and ready to try again. yes, i will also be on lupron forgot that to mention on last post. please share if you have anyother tips.

Thanks!

Funny you should say that about everything looking so good. Same was said to me. They used two of my very best embies which were rated very good, and here they didn't take. I actually started my period 6 days after transfer. How many will you be transfering?? I transfered 3 (wanted to do 4) and 1 took.

wannabemommy Just wanted to mention that I had a failed fresh cycle also. They transferred 1 embryo - good quality and it didn't take. I actually had a chem pregnancy - that is initially I got a bfp but my beta numbers never doubled and I miscarried within a couple of days of my bfp. When I did the FET 2 months later my hopes were very low. They transferred 2 embryos of good quality (same quality as the fresh cycle) so I thought if it didn't work with a fresh cycle then the frozen wouldn't work either. But here I am with a newborn baby girl so it worked!! Also, I agree with Ryan you should ask the success rates (I think you may be able to look them up on-line too - anyone know where??). Since every Dr does things a little differently it's hard to tell what's "right" and the success rates are a good way to tell how your office is doing.

Hi ,I actually never checked for success rate before, stupid me!
now I m checking and it shows for 6mnths of yr 06-07, for fresh cycle it states(positive preg. rates-thats beta +ve result) 70.0% (35/50) for <35 age and for frozen embryo transfer its 85%(17/20) for positive pre. rates.does this sound good?
Thanks.

Wannabemommmy-I'm not sure where you are getting your info from, but I like to look at SART - Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology. It gives you live birth rates from almost every clinic in the nation. It is a good place to compare stats. Just make sure you are comparing apples to apples. Pregnancy rates and live birth rates are different. Good luck.

Hi everyone, sorry that I've been so quiet lately, I'm pretty overwhelmed. I think of things daily that I want to share with folks, but I so rarely have two hands free to type anything. We're doing okay here - me, DH and one boy have a cold and the other boy will probably be next. Sam and Alex are both still extremely gassy and nothing seems to help it. Guess we all just have to tough it out! I'm still not nursing, they wrestle too much with me, so I'm just pumping lots and adding a few formula feedings. The boys are starting to actually start playing a little, or at least staring at thing and waving all their limbs in excitement.

Good luck to all those undergoing FET!

Terri Thanks for posting the link. Couldn't remember the site name.

Irena uggh about the colds. Yep that's the way it usually goes here too - one boy gets it and then passes it to the other one. Now I guess with three it will be a 3 way trade LOL. That's neat that the boys are starting to play a bit. Can't wait for Emma to get there.

been lurking :)

hi everyone! I've been reading the board for a while and wanted to say hi since I will (hopefully) be doing a FET in June or July.

wannabemommy, hopefulmama, ryan - my experience is similar to yours. I had a "perfect" cycle and transferred one "perfect" embryo in February...BFN. My RE also mentioned that everything had been textbook perfect. I had a very hard time with the BFN and am only now feeling back to "normal". We have 3 embryos frozen. One is "excellent" and the other two are "good" and those two are separate from the other one. They all made it to day 6. I wish you all the best of luck - I just had to comment when I saw that we had similar experiences.

PUPO ladies - best of luck to you!!!

HI everyone! I had a yeast infection during 2ww after my fresh ET. I never had a yeast infection before in my life. nurse told me that yeast/uti can happen after fertility treatment. plz. share if any of you had that happen or know that it can happen? I just want to make sure that this hasn't ruined the cycle.

Terry-Good luck for ur upcoming transfer.
Thanks!

Hi guys, thanks for all of the support, but they've actually pushed back my transfer twice due to lining issues. My lining is 7 (same as my last FET), but they want me to have more time to optimize my chances. I guess they normally want the lining to be 8-12. So 2 more weeks of estrogen. I'm glad they are doing everything possible to increase my chances of this working, but it's hard to keep waiting. You would think that I would be really good at waiting at this point! My transfer date now is May 14th . Hope all is well with all of you!!
