Hi all, I had a tiring weekend. DH and I went up to San Francisco and he ran the 5k race. I'm very proud of him. Though he was a big runner when we met, this was his first race in probably 18 years! He's been getting back into shape since February (about the time that I was forbidden to exercise and I think I've gained the 30 pounds he's lost ...) We stayed overnight in a nice hotel and went to a good dinner, since this was also kinda my birthday celebration too. For the race, we met up with some good friends. We walked in SF before and after the race, and maaan am I out of shape! I've been pretty happy with my current nausea remedies, though -- preggie pops and New Chapter Organics Digestion Ginger Honey Tonic. I just love the tonic, I mix it with a lot of water and sip at it throughout the day. Chatting with my friends, though, I noticed that I'm seriously pregnancy-brained! No recall whatsoever ... It was a good but tiring weekend.

(Then this evening, DH dropped our digital camera and broke it and is now off again on a finances moan.)

Ryan No the (.)(.) didn't hurt before the transfer but started to about 4 days pt - I'm hoping this means something good but some other symptoms I had when I had my chem preg last IVF I don't have so I'm not sure what to think.... Thanks for the support!

hopingtobemom I have the cramoing too but the (.)(.) pain is more like an extreme soreness centralized in the nipple area (sorry if TMI:-)

yolie I did acupuncture this cycle and my RE believes it helps. I feel the same way you do - What can it hurt? I did 1cc of progesterone and I heard (from the RE) that there are better preg rates with PIO than with suppositories.

Lizzie Sorry about your hair - never happened with me but the se vary so much from person to person.

Irena Sounds like you had a great birthday celebration. I've only been to SF once (briefly) and thought it looked like such a neat place. I've used the preggie pops and loved the orangey one. I celebrated my b'day this weekend also - went out to dinner with my Mom, step-dad, sis and her bf and my dh and ds's yesterday and went to a bbq at my Dad and step-mom's house tonighht - we all had a great time.

I got my first blood work done (E2 and progrestrone check) after the transfer.

E2 = 384 pg/ml
P = 43nMol/L

I didn't had the chance to talk to the doctor, but these numbers looks to be in the normal range.

I had Pregnyl shot (in our clinic it is in practice to give HCG shot on 6 days post transfer).

today after the injection I started to feel tired, could be that HCG from the injections giving symptoms..

Regards,
Jes.

Unfortunately my journey with infertility is over-I am not pregnant. I got the news Friday around noon, then I just left town to be with my best girlfriends. I got on this morning to decide where I should post my results and found the new thread. I am ok, but I do wish the results had been positive. I am so new to this site, but it has really helped me. I never even got to put my profile up-I am 43 and my DH is 44, I have blocked tubes, 2 mc and 1 ectopic, all in the late 90's. Successful IVF in 1999, DS born Jan. 4th, 2000 (Elijah is the light of my life!) 3 Frozen embryos and I felt so blessed to have him that I waited 9 years to transfer! 2 implanted and it is over......
Good luck to all-I will check in from time to time. I will rejoyce for your successes and cry at your disappointments. I would tell anyone with infertility to exhaust all the methods because it is worth it, but mentally prepare yourself and focus on how good life is with just your partner or with the blessings you already have.
Mimi

Mimi I'm so sorry. Getting together with your best girlfriends was a great idea. Do you have one frostie left or did you transfer all 3? It seems like you decided you are done - it's great that you are so decisive. Take care of yourself and hope to see you drop in when you feel able.

That's an awfully late HCG shot! Maybe they do it so you won't be able to POAS until your beta.

Hi Girls! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Booch- Sorry we all disappeared on you! How was your weekend?

Audra-congrats on that bfp!!!! Can't wait til your beta- Wednesday, right?!?!

Yolie- Go for it with all three- I hear ya there! You keep getting closer to getting started!

Kimmy- are you feeling any better?

Mimi- so sorry to hear about your results. Sounds like you salvaged your Friday with your girlfriends- they must be special gals! Good luck with new direction life takes you. Take care of that little boy of yours!

Jes- I'm not sure about your numbers- I haven't ever had any drawn mid cycle. Maybe you can call the nurse back and ask for more of an explination? OrI hope someone here has some insight for you- they may know more/you may get a better response on the actual IVF thread on this question-

Dre- can't wait to hear that second big number! Have you guys shared the news with anyone yet?

Ryan- how are you feeling? Anything new?

Irena- your weekend sounds like it was awesome! Happy Birthday! Your DH is it for running a 5k! I feel so out of shape also- right before all this IF garbage started I had lost 55# and was in great shape- I'm such a sad case now! Someday- we will get back in shape again! Good to hear you found remedies for the m/s!

Lizzie- so glad your numbers are where they needed to be! I use the vivelle patches not estrace, but I think I saw thinning hair could be a side effect. Sorry I haven't really noticed anything unusual-I have really thick hair and already lose so much every day-LOL-
Hopefully all these crazy symptoms stop for you in a few weeks. HOw much longer on the lupron and estrace do you have ?

Well girls it was a busy weekend for me as well! The inlaws were here this weekend. Went to a bridal shower Saturday. Sunday DH and FIL put in some new kitchen cabinets around my fridge and new pantry shelves & organizer. I have so much room! I love to bake and have so many kitchen gadgets its ridiculous (yes I have an entire cupboard full of cookie cutters!). So I'm so excited! Even have drawers and shelves with nothing on them- hoping to save them for baby stuff! My MIL also asked me the question I've been dreading since March- if I would help throw my SIL a baby shower. Of course I said yes- but with hesitation. If I'm not preg its gonna be really tough. I just hope i have the stregnth to do this! She wants it after the twins are born- so we'll probably do it in early December- pray for me on this one-I'm gonna need it!

So I'm also playing the symptoms game with myself. Today is 10p3dt. For the last 4 days I've woken up feeling kinda yuck- but goes away when I eat. Some sore bb's- and Fri, Sat, Sun had very light pinchy kind of cramps- none yet today. I also have had kinda of a stuffy head/nose-I'm not usually an allergy sufferer. So of course the big debate is are these in my head, are they from the PIO- or could I possibly be ? I haven't told DH or anyone else- I don't want to get anyones hopes up! All weekend MIL and my Mom kept asking if I felt okay- and I just said I feel fine and normal! (Aka leave me alone women!) So I continue to wait- I'm still just saying no to POAS- man its gonna be a long week!

Lindsay - I never thought I'd see the day that I would get excited about kitchen cabinets, but after recently redoing our kitchen, I know where you're coming from!! I too had that cabinet saved for baby stuff, but it somehow filled with junk pretty quick! you can never have enough cabinet space! Sorry to hear about the shower. That really sucks! Hopefully you'll get your this month! Stay positive. I know how you feel with everyone asking how you're doing. I've tried, so far successfully, to kind of stay away from everyone this cycle and I haven't really told anyone we were doing one. I'll be for you that you can handle all of this!
