Lizzie ~ You said: "Dre – My mom has been weird too. She knows how emotional I am about the whole process and so doesn’t ask many questions or offer much support. I hope you get the shots figured out. I don’t know if I could do the PIO shots myself either."

I haven't shared with her and she's the only one who knows we did IVF and FET, I am surprised she hasn't asked me, but I guess you are right. Having kids has actually put a stressor in our relationship for some reason? It's really weird.

I'm happy you get to stop your lupron, but now do you move on to Pogest.? What's going on in Houston? Is your home ok, are your embies safe?

I'm actually still on the Lupron until the 15th (ugh). At that point I will move on to PIO (another, though less emphatic ugh).

Tropical storm Eduord blew through today, but was really pretty mild. We had a little wind and a lot of rain, but no flooding where I am. The embies are perfectly safe and we are all fine. We didn't even lose power. We stocked up on flashlights, batteries, and water for nothing. The rain actually provided a welcome respite from the three digit heat.

Hi, everybody,

I'd like to join you guys if I may. My first FET is scheduled for 20th of August if all goes well. As you can see from my signature, it's my third try at fertility treatments. Irena - I was tracking your story as you miscarried just a little earlier that I did. It's so good to see you came back with full strength and there is a happy ending for you - it gives me hope. If you would please put me on the calendar as well, I'd appreciate it.

Linz- I was soooo emotional during my 2ww. My DH took me on a day date one of the days and all I could do was cry on the drive there. I was such a reck (sp). I poas that morning (before we left) and it was white as snow. Couldn't be more negative. I poas in the evening (cause I wanted to try a digital to see how it worked, not expecting anything) and it said pregnant. So just cause you got a neg. yesterday doesn't mean that on friday you are doomed. Not everyone has sore bbs either. Try and relax HA HA right. I really feel positive for you. You are acting a lot like I did. I was really mad at all the moms that didn't appreciate their blessings. I can't wait till Friday!

I wanted to thank you gals for supporting me during my meltdown this afternoon! I'm better for the moment- just trying to keep the faith. I've had some more minor cramping- so hoping thats a good sign. I usually never get AF cramps- so .

Audra- thanks for your prayers, and insight on the next cycle if need be. I guess I assumed it would be another month off for me if this isn't my time- but maybe not. We'll just have to see- I'm trying to regain that positive attitude! Good luck tomorrow with your beta! I can't wait to see a beautiful number- you deserve this- especially after all you went through with your son.

Kimmy- thanks for the prayers as well. I hope it is a good sign- all I can is pray at this point. You're such a rock on these boards!

Dre- thanks also for your comforting words- I hate all this unknown stuff! But good to know your bb's weren't sore-lol- keep stringing me some hope and prayers!

Lizzie- glad you're okay and that the storm didn't leave you with too much damage. Its been so hot here also- I know what you mean about rain being a relief.

Megan-did you get your question answered? If not, let us know. Just remember- we've all probably been through it! Yes I've talked about CM more in the past few months to last me a lifetime!

Vicki! Glad you could join us! I can't believe that the 20th is only 2 weeks away! This is a great support group!

Hope everyone has a good night!
Lindsay

Lizzie: Yes, I am glad I made the move. There are so many girls to root for.

Irena: I have 5 embies frozen. If, God willing, 4 survive the thaw my RE will put all of them back in.

I'll be thinking about this weeks betas and wishing for result for all.

I just read an article on how out thoughts and emotions affect our reproductive systems - how staying positive is important for the end result. So, I raise my water glass to all of us remaining positive, strong, and believing in ourselves throughout our FETs.

Vickie!! All the ladies on the thread are so great - such a great support. I read a book called the secret (or part of it actually) that talked about positive attitude too. I must say I'm usually more of a scientific bent (and the book the secret is not) but I really started with the positive thinking and find it helps.

Linz Glad you seem to be feeling a bit better. The on and off cramps are a good sign.

Lizzie Glad to hear that you and your embies are safe. Sounds like you had a relaxing day. I love a rainy day.

Vickie - "I raise my water glass" cracked me up.

I noticed you have a clotting issue. Sorry if I missed this in an earlier post, but are you on either Lovenox or Heparin? I'm on Lovenox and my stomach has bruises the size of Texas all over it. I'm running out of unbruised skin to poke! I'd love to hear about your protocol and what your calender looks like because our transfer date is the same. I was on estrace and lupron, then stopped the estrace for a week and got AF. I just restarted estrace 2 mg twice a day and am still on 10u of lupron
Now - 08/08 - estrace 8 a.m and 3 p.m.; Lupron 6 p.m.
08/08-08/11 - add estrace 2mg. 6p.m.
08/11 - E2 and U/S
08/12- 08/14 - add 2 mg. estrace vaginally at bedtime
08/14 - E2, P4, U/S
08/15-08/19 - stop lupron, lower bedtime estrace to 1mg, add doxycyline and medrol
08/20 - transfer

Does yours look anything like that?

Dre - about the situation with your mom, when I had my first miscarriage my mom called me up and when I started crying, she totally didn't know what to do! She told me to feel better and she'll let me go (off the phone!!) I have a really good relationship with my mother this was just really strange to me. As time went by and we eventually started seeing a specialist, I told her what was going on. To my surprise she was really supportive and had alot of questions. Since I explained everything to her she's been so much better. I think it was because she had never experienced anything like this. Her mother had sixteen children!!! And she had three (me being an oops!) So she really didn't get it. Maybe that's what's going on with your mother. Maybe you just have to communicate better with her how you feel and what your going through and let her know when you need her to ask you questions and when to back off! I think asking her to help you with the shots might be a really good idea, make her feel like she's helping you (because we all know how mothers love to help!)

Lindsay - So sorry you were feeling sad yesterday and glad to hear you're feeling better! I'm sure everything will be fine on Friday, just hold tight and don't drive yourself crazy! (much easier said than done, I know!)

Vicki !! Good luck on your u/s tomarrow!!

Audra - Did you find that that book, the Secret, helped you with your FET? I have done some research lately about the power of positive thinking and heard about that book, but wasn't sure if it pertained to my situation exactly. I did find some great meditation cd's ( anjionline.com ) and they've really helped. I don't know that they're going to get me my , but I feel good personally.
Good luck with your beta today!! !
Joanne
