Okay...

I talked to the office - they said that my issue was normal - with all of the estrogen.

She actually called it "priming".

Okay good news is that we moved my appointment from Monday the 11th to this Friday the 8th.

So in a perfect world my calendar should go like this

08/08 - check lining and E2 levels (if okay)
08/09 - begin antiobotics, steriods, and progestrone shots and suppositories (I am not sure where the Lovenox comes in).
08/15 - ET of the 3 with embryo glue
Bed rest for 3 days (I think)

Back to school on 08/19 -

Beta ? - 08/29?

Thumbs up

Can someone tell me about embie glue ???? I have never heard of it before? Is this a new thing?

Booch ~ Thanks for the words of wisdom, my mom and I do have a HUGE problem with communication. I don't know why, but it doesn't come very easily, when I was in the hospital for 3 months, we had a difficult time talking, so when things are hard or tough, it's like she shuts down, and I need her to do the opposite ???
Anyway ~ I am leaning to asking her to do the shots?
So she knows we did the FET, but I don't think she understands what an FET really is and my mom is the type where she thinks she has to know everything so if she doesn't she doesn't ask.
Any fun ideas on how to tell her I'm prego. As I get older I find myself getting less creative! Anyone wanna' help?

Audra ~ waiting for that number?????

Linz and Christy ~ Still praying for you , Christy, where did you go?

Ryan and Kimmy ~ any names to share that you are thinking about?

A forum friend asked me to go to the emotional support section, anyone know where that is?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm hungary!!!!

Dre- I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but if you go to the home page under forums, the last thing, it says, More. Click on that and you'll see under subforums, Infertility support; click on that. Then click on the first forum you see, Infertility Support Forum. In there you'll find there's a forum called, Emotional Support. Hope that helps!

Well the Drs office left a message saying congrats and everything looks good but that I need to increase my PIO shot from 1cc to 1.5 cc. I'm worried - they didn't give me my number and I wonder why. Plus, if my progesterone needs to be increased does that mean things aren't going well? Anyone else have to increase their prog.? I called back and left a message asking for my beta numbers and asking if the prog thing is something to be concerned about. Hope I hear from them today.

Booch The book the secret was more of a general book talking about thinking more about what you want instead of what you fear/ don't want (i.e. I want to have a baby, I will have a baby instead of I'm never going to get pregnant). That example is mine though - the book (at least the part I read) doesn't deal with IF persay. What meditation tape are you using. I'm supposed to be try to relax b/c of my high blood pressure.

Audra - I have two cd's. One is called Meditations for a Fertile Soul. That's the one I'm listening to now that really calms you and is suppose to help in getting ready for transfer (or retrieval for ivf). Then I have Imagery and Meditations for Support of an IVF Cycle, which can be used also for FET, you just skip one track. That one I'll be starting friday along with pio ! I was also thinking about doing accupuncture. I know it's a little late, but I have read success stories doing it the day of transfer.

Is anyone doing accupunture? Do you think it's worth it? Does it hurt?

Hey ladies - I got my BFN today after our first fresh cycle and though DH and I won't actually discuss it until he gets home this evening, our next step will almost certainly be a FET with our one little totsicle. I'd really prefer to do another fresh cycle to try to get more frozen to try for a sibling later since a FET cycle is cheaper and I won't work after we have a baby, but our Shared Risk plan stipulates using all the frozen embryos before moving on to another fresh cycle.

My favorite part of the day so far has been seeing the two pregnant teenagers in the waiting room with their mothers as I left after my beta blood draw. It's maddening to think about all the time and effort we have to put into doing something that they (probably) did by accident.

I hope you don't mind if I join you, but with all the women coming from that previous thread I kind of feel like I'm crashing a party.

Oh, and here's a link to an IVF due date calculator for those that are interested: IVF.ca - IVF Pregnancy Due Date and Fetal Development Calculator

Dre When did they increased it (how far along were you)? I'm glad someone else had it increased. I thought maybe it meant something not good.

Booch I did AP at a place near the Mineola office. The lady is really nice. It doesn't hurt and is very relaxing - I actually fell aslep on the table (they leave you with the needles in for 20 minutes or so).

Well I called the Dr office again and now it says they are closed. I told my dh to call through to the emergency line which they also use for off hours questions about shots. We had a q about the prog shot too. Talked to the office in Stoneybrook so they answered our shot q but don't have my numbers I can get them in the morning.

Audra - UUGGH!! So sorry you have to go through this. It's so annoying to try so hard to get to this point and then no one is around to give you a number ! I wouldn't worry though, I would imagine if they thought something may be wrong, they would have asked you to call them back.

Do you know the address/name/# of the accunpuncturist? Did you do it the day of transfer or when?

Hopeful- Don't worry about the prog. thing. I just had b/w done a few days ago to see if I could get off it, and nurse was like what are you taking? Are you spotting? My prog. must have been low cause I still have to stay on it. So I guess my point is if your not spotting your fine. Even if you begin to spot you can increase prog. (with RE permission of course) that happend to me at 7 weeks and they increased prog. from 1cc to 1.5. No worries they are just getting your levels to where they want them to be Can't wait to hear your numbers tomorrow. Sorry I went on so long. Hope I made some sense.

Dre- Ya I have been thinking about names. Girl names I like: Gillian, Lily, Cade, and Sadie. Boy name so far I like: Ben. Who knows . I still have six months before I have to pick the name for good! Sorry you are having issues right now. Hope all goes well.

Welcome to all the new commers!!

Audra- congrats!!! Okay- your office is crazy! I can't believe 1. that they left a message with results- nothing like spoiling the moment! 2. That they didn't even tell you the number! If they open tomorrow at 8- I'd be calling at 8:01!!!! EIther way- you're and thats what counts!!! I have been on 2cc's of progesterone the entire time-so there must just be 800 different protocols for it- like everything else! No worries!

casb77! Hey thanks for the due date calculator- I hope I need to use that Friday! Sorry about the teens at the office- it is just plain depressing to see stuff like that. Stay strong- it will your turn soon!

Kimic322! The 2ww is a killer! Hang in there! Thats what we're all here for (if you read my mental breakdown yesterday) This is a great supportive group!

Megan- looks like a plan! Its gonna be a crazy first week of school huh! What do you teach? My DH teaches 4th grade.

Ryan- love the names! Can tell you're really pulling for the girl-lol- not that I blame you one bit! I love Lily- one of my "names" we've thought about- someday!

Dre- Moms are tough. I love mine very much, and we get along well, but honestly she drives me freakin nuts sometimes. She lives about 1.5 hours away and wanted to come visit again next week- I had to tell her no- if I get a bfn Friday-the last thing I want to do is have to entertain her. That much Mom in that short amount of time while I'm emotionally charged is just not a good idea. I hope you guys can work everything out. Maybe she's just giving you space- its been a pretty intense few weeks for you!

Hi all else! Hope hump day is treating you well. My Mom & Grandma & I went to a local orchard today- it was fun. Lots of peaches & berries in season right now. Bought some peach cider- yum yum- then realized in the car on the way home it wasn't pasterized- so I probably shouldn't drink it! Darn- well- something to look forward to Friday of things don't work out- though I'm still very hopeful- keep the prayers coming!

Welcome Casb77! This is a GREAT group and we would love for you to join us! That sucks that you can't do another fresh cycle to store up....

Audra ~ I soooooo wish you could have got your numbers, but I guess God just wants you to sit back and just enjoy the fact that you are Prego!

Linz ~ Glad you had a great time today! And you are right moms are tough......

I went to target today to get my sons b-day gift, and say my mother in law there, she lives on the other side of town so I was shocked.... Anyway, I was soooooo tempted to tell her, but I didn't!

Thanks Ryan, and Dre for the info about the prog. I feel much better about it.

Booch I had AP for a couple of weeks before the transfer and then before the transfer and after the transfer (all on the same day). I also took some herbal pills (but I checked with the RE first) the night before and the morning of the transfer. I have continued to go. If you want I can pm you her info.

casb Sorry about the teens - that stinks. It's hard to understand why some people that don't want to be preg get preg no problem and others that really want a baby have such trouble. What you said about wanting to do another fresh cycle makes sense - sorry you can't do that. The good news is that the frozen cycle takes so much less time than the fresh.

Linz You're going to have to let your dh drink that cider and you'll be so happy to have to do that!!! Sounds like you had fun with your mom and grandma. Well as far as the message goes - they knew I knew already but darn it I really wanted the numbers!!

Ryan I love your names. You're right - girls names are so much easier - there are so many more of them.

Dre Thanks for all the encouragement. I'm calling at like 7 AM (they open at 6:30). I want those numbers!!!
