PIO effects after stopping?

Hey girls- our thread is so full I thought it'd be better to post my question all on its lonesome thread!

So my last PIO was Thursday night since I didn't get good news Friday. I still have small "knots" from the PIO- and my rear itches like crazy there! Its a little read/rashy looking in those injection spots. Has anyone had this? I really am not the allergy prone type- but I'm wondering if its the sesame oil. Maybe from the prolonged exposure. What do you guys think? Any experience? I'll talk to the nurse when I call the with AF- just wanted your advice/experiences also.

One more thing- did you all get like "knots"from the PIO? Mine weren't super big- but they were there. I don't know what else we could have done to prevent- I used heating pad before and after- we warmed the PIO, and DH had the needle all the way in. The shots didn't hurt- but these knots are a little annoying. Thinking ahead to next cycle...........

Thanks for your help!

I experienced everything your going through. The knots and itching. The only thing i would do is to put ice on to numb before shot and then a warm compress afterwards. I did my last FET in April and i still have soreness in those spots.

I still have sore spots too, though no itching. I never got palpable knots, but there are places that are sore when I rub and I even feel them when I jump around too much. I've heard they can last for several months or more.

I had all the same things you have. Mine, they told me was an allergic reaction to the oil. Try Benadryl it helped me.

Even with lots of carefulness, I still have some big knots. For my last three weeks of shots, my RE is moving me to a once-a-week PIO shot! That's if I can get it from my pharmacy ...

I don't know about others but I have the same itchy bum. OMG it is so awful. I scratch like crazy. I have one big knot which is making it all awful. I use gold bond anti-itch to ease the itching.

Yeah I asked the RE and said very normal side effects. But they like to use PIO for FET- so -I'll be using again in another month. She said after a BFP I could maybe switch to the gel- but that makes me nervous- so no thanks. So I'll stock up on benadryl itch cream- it really is just kind of annoying more than painful-but is almost gone! We're in this together!
