Sex before FET?
I was wondering if any of you have heard from your REs whether it's advisable to bd in the days leading up to the FET. Are there any restrictions on this? My RE did not give any instructions about this. I think I remember someone saying something about their RE telling them to bd the night before ET.

I've been wondering about this too. They didn't give me any restrictions of any kind with this cycle. I feel silly calling to ask if I can have sex with my husband and, if we do, do we need to use protection or not. For now I'm just going by the assumption that they would have mentioned it if there was anything to warn me about.

Ladies,
My RE ordered BDing before my FET. So my DH and I ran with it! We BD'd the night before and the morning of. Now I'm no expert but I do know that BDing releases certain andorphins, etc. and I think this was my calmest transfer ever!

Me - PCOS DH - MF 7/08 - 4th round of IVF (1 canceled cycle, 2 )3/08 Changed RE's for cycle #4 FET necessary due to OHSS... 7/19 -  1st Beta - 175 2nd Beta - 566 3rd Beta - 2544 7/25 - 1st U/S - One sac and yolk!  8/1 -  for a heartbeat - 122 bpm Praise God!! I'm so thankful I want to just shout and dance all day! 11/7 - Anatomy scan...  "Let's hear it for the boys!"

I was told to BD the night before ET & FET and/or the morning of the transfer. I didn't question why, but have heard that it had something to do with the andorphins, etc.

Someone on this site had this question a few months ago. One of the responses was that an Re told them that there were studies saying it could help with implantation to BD prior to transfer. I will look for the thread to bump it

I got a response from my RE on this question this afternoon. He said that there are no restrictions on bding before transfer.
Now here's another, very graphic question (Don't read further if you are easily grosed out): Do you clean up afterward if you do it the morning of, or do you go "as is" so that the seminal fluid is still around to do any good it might do?

i had read on another that it was important to have sex before the FET b/c it makes your body get signals to get ready for implantation. We did and I can't say it worked, but did not hurt!! hehehe
i say clean up but we did night before
