Oh ladies, I can't believe I am going first.......I get nervous just thinking about it. Hopefulstill, my FET schedule is a little different( or at least it seems that way). I start taking 2mg of Estrace on Thursday. Then 5 days later I will take 4mg for 4 days, then 6mg for 6 days, then back to 2mg 5 days til transfer. I continue the 2mg a day til my first beta. Crazy uh?? Also 5 days before transfer I will be taking Medrol everyday as well. I use Endometrin vs. the PIO shots. I start that 5 days prior to transfer also. 6 days before the scheduled FET I have an ultrasound to check my lining. If it is good(by RE likes any number above 9), then the lab is notified of the thaw. My clinic thaws the embryos in the am and the transfer is in the pm. My first beta will be 2-12-09!
Danielle- I am not sure what type of work your husband does, but I heard the most interesting info today. Sara Lee now offers insurance to all their full time employees that covers IVF. Not sure if this info is correct, but I was listening to a news radio station this morning and the host was talking about it. Might be worth all of us looking into......

Awesome idea on the list, hopefulstill!! Thanks!!
I am going to pick up my Lupron and Vivelle patches this weekend, since I start Lupron next Tuesday (just in time for my 30th birthday on Saturday - ick!!). My old insurance through work covered the Lupron last year (nothing else except the syringes were covered for fertility treatments), and I'm wondering if the new carrier we switched to will cover it... I don't like guessing!

I'm on the board
Hello All! I guess I'm on the list for February! I spoke with my RE last Friday and he gave me a tentative FET date of 2/10. (I'm His, we're cycle buddies again! We were cycle buddies in December as well. This time it's our turn for the BFP!) I am still waiting for my calendar, not sure when I'll start meds. This will be my second FET.
Hoping and praying that February is the month of babies for all of us! : )

ImHis - I hope the wait will go fast too, but as of right now it is really dragging for me! I wish the cycle didn't take soooo long!
ms610 - My "routine" for the estrace, progesterone, etc. is the same as yours, only instead of the endometrin I do the PIO injections. Crazy as it is, I like doing the shots because I do them in the morning (actually DH gives them to me) and then I don't have to think about it the rest of the day. AngieD - I hope your insurance covers your lupron! Mine doesn't and I was hoping to just be able to use the leftovers from our last cycle but I think that was just wishful thinking. Looks like I'll be ordering more by next week! Prayingforamiracle - welcome to the Feb. group! I've added you to the list! Transfer Dates ms610 - 2/3 maybeamommy - 2/6 nbianca - 2/6 ImHis - 2/10 Prayingforamiracle - 2/10 hopefulstill - 2/12 or 13 AngieD - 2/26 |

HI girls. I'm new to this site also (it's only been a few days and I'm hooked). I am just so excited to have some people to share with! I am also scheduled for an FET in February - transfer would be on February 18th if all goes well.
I am nervous to move on to this step but we have tried so many things already with no positive results. People keep saying that we are "so young" so we have plenty of time...I don't feel the same way. Patience is not my strong suit! Thanks for letting me share. I look forward to keeping up with everyone!

I think you will find this site of great support during your cycle. I started Estrace on thursday. Continued Lupron injections. I am soooo tired, does anyone else get fatigue from these meds? I do not remember getting this tired last time. Also, a question about prenatal vitamins......what seems to be the choice for everyone? My pharmacy gave me a new vitamin, and I am not liking it at all. It leaves a really weird metal taste in my mouth. So, I think I am going to try and find a new one, but have no idea what to ask for??? Hope everyone else is doing great with your meds........Feb will be here before we know it!!!

drbrown.. you will be hooked for ever! I know I am. Glad to have you join us. Fet cycles are so much more easier!ms610..I got really tired on my last fet cycle too.More so than my ivf cycles, but I think it is because I am taking more of these meds. I took my last bcp today,,woo hoo so I am waiting for AF to arrive. I would think she was laready here because my mood shows it, but I know it prob wont be for a few more days because I just took my last bcp. I hope this isnt a sign this one is going to be terrible!

hey everyone!
I am going for my suppression check on Monday (bloodwork and u/s) and then I should be starting Estrace and lowering my Lupron. Oh - just in case you didn't know... Schrafts (mail order pharmacy) has Lupron for $99 + $10 for overnight shipping... it's a great deal! That is where I got mine from since it wasn't covered by my insurance. I have been very tired also! I guess it's the meds. I've also been getting pretty bad headaches every night - probably from the Lupron. I finished my BCP on Sunday and got AF on Wednesday... so hopefully she'll be gone by the time I have my appointment on Monday. And hopefully we'll be all set for 2/6! I can't wait ![]() Hope everyone is doing well! Where do people post mostly on these boards? I am obviously new, but it doesn't seem like there's much traffic. I am part of another board too - so I'm nto sure if I'm just looking in the wrong place!

maybeamomma... The lupron will give you headaches...they are so frustrating, but its because it is supressing everything. I hope your appt goes well. I took my last bcp today, I had a Luproin shot Wed.... they only give me one large dose, so I am waiting for AF to arrive. I have always found it funny that when we are at this point, we spend time wondering when it gonna show up, but after our transfer, we spend so much time hoping it wont show...crazy stuff. As far as where everyone psts, its all over the place. Since this is specifically for FET, I guess not a whole lot of people are on it. You can go to the top of the page when you sign in nad click on new posts. You will see all kinds of stuff there, and there is always a lot of activity on the IVF boards. Some days are busier on here than others. I hope you stick around. We would love to know how you are doing and be here to chear you on!

Thank you girls for the nice welcome
I'm glad to be here! I was so glad to hear someone say that FET cycles can be easier than full IVF cycles because that is what I have hoping and feeling like in some ways. It has been a little less stressful for me to do it in 2 parts. Good luck to everyone and thanks again for welcoming me! I stop my BCPs on Tuesday and then we go from there.

Hi everyone. My name is Becky. I just started full flow of af today. I'm waiting instructions from re. This will be my second fet. For some reason, I'm not as excited at the last time. I think it's because we got a bfn. Also I found out my SIL is pregnant with her second. My niece is not even a year old yet, and she planned it. I hate to be the jelious sister in law...but come on. It must be so nice to have one perfectly lovley little girl, who as I said is not a year yet. And plan to become pregnant in Dec. and then get pregnant in Dec. I "plan" to get pregnant every month but never do
LOL. Anyway good luck to everyone ![]()

Becky.Infertility is a struggle anyway you look at it. Just hang in there and your time will come. I can understand about you not being as excited, neither am I, but I think for me it is because i am realistic. I do hope and believe it can happen, but I am also aware it may not. You have come to a good place for support. I am waiting for my AF to show as we speak, I already have instructions from my RE, just will have to wait until AF shows up. Looks like we might be doing our transfers right around the same time. Mine is for the week of the 9th. drbrown.. it was me that said fet cycles are much easier than IVF cycles. It was so much easier that it kind of freaked me out the first round! It wasnt until I saw on this board that it is just that way that I started feeling better and not like I was forgetting to do something. it is much more relaxing. Happy day to all!

Becky----
I think it is normal to not get excited about your cycles when you have dealt with disappointment and sadness. I feel the exact same way about this upcoming FET. I keep waiting to get that excited feeling, but so far, I am just not feeling it. I think I am just afraid to get my hopes up again. All of my friends are either pregnant, just had a baby, or already have children. Somedays I just can't believe I am still not a mom. Imhis, hope shows up soon........my headaches are a little better, but boy am I tired!! But, you are right, FET are much easier than fresh cycles..........thank goodness!

Pleasebpositive is back
Hi ladies
it's been a while since I have been here. Today is my first day of estrace to prepare for an FET. RE told me to expect to be on the estrace for 2-3 weeks before transfer. We have five embryos frozen. Two have 6 cells. I had an ectopic pregnancy in August. As always, this site helps me with this journey. So I just want to introduce and say hi. I wish everyone the very same result I wish for myself. |
