Thanks IMHIS

thanks IMHIS. i started the estrace 2mg last night. RE told to possibly expect bloating, hot flashes and mood swings. Not thrilled with the bloating. I just worked so hard to lose 15 pounds on weight watchers. As DH said it will be a fake weight gain and will lose it as soon as I stop the estrace. I will be ecstatic over weight for other reason. Will NOT let my self delve to deeply with that. Need to protect myself. Where do you live? I am in NY on Long Island.

Good morning everyone. It is a snowy day today here in Virginia. But I'm at work anyway . I talked to my re last evening. I started the estrace and it looks like my transfer will be Feb.5! I'm trying to get excited..but I just can't. Maybe as the time gets closer I will. But I know I am not looking forward to the PIO shots...ugh...I hate those things.

pleasebpositive.... I live in Houston. It is about 65 and sunny here. I can say that it did snow here recently. It was when I was on best rest with my last fet in December. But it melted by the next morning. I want to live in snow! I live in it one year in North Carolina and I think it is beautiful I just want to be somewhere were you have seasons and your closet isnt always open to sweaters and shorts no matter what time of year it is! well, the sweaters are not there in the summer, but during the "winter" months... there is a always a little bit of everything in the closet.
As far as the estrace, it made me tired... but all of these hormones are to mimic pregnancy... you will get "unbloated" as soon as you stop them, but lets hope not for other reasons!

well... showed up this morning. YEAH... but ready for it to be over. I get headaches and it is hard to function, but I will be going in tomorrow am to check my levels to see if I can start my estrace tomorrow. So its getting closer.

bsadler81..I hear Virginia is pretty. You have snow! Im jealous! Feb 5th isnt that far away...whooo hooo
We are all getting closer!
The shots are never fun, but they are all for the good. I use the one in ethal olite (SP?) its much thinner liquid than the traditional oil.

Hi Everyone! I have been MIA for the last several days but am happy to be back on now. We have been busy with house guests...my DH's aunt and uncle stopped in to stay for what was supposed to be ONE night while traveling through the state but ended up staying much longer because his uncle got THE FLU! Needless to say, I've been praying we didn't catch it. My DD who is 21 months ran a fever yesterday but has no flu symptoms, thank goodness!

drbrown, bsadler81 and pleasebepositive! Glad you are all here! I've added your dates to the list - feel free to change them if something changes. Pleasebepositive, I didn't get you on there since I'm not sure of your date. Feel free to add it if you want. There is getting to be a lot of us!

Drbrown - I agree with you about the patience. This is my third FET since August (I also just did a fresh IVF cycle) and I am having a really hard time being patient. Usually it doesn't feel so long but the time is really dragging for me. I think it's because I thought for sure I would be pregnant by now and because I'm not I'm feeling somehow like time is running out.

ms610 - The prenatal vitamins I am taking are Foltabs Prenatal with DHA. They are the generic form of CitraNatal. They are just OK - I liked the CitraNatal a lot but insurance is now doing the generics. I have thought about switching but didn't know what to go to. Anyone else have one they like?

Maybeamommy - thanks for the heads-up on the Lupron at Schraft's. I just got my order from there today and was able to get it cheaper by paying out of pocket than by using my insurance. I have been getting headaches from the Lupron also. For some reason, the Lupron is affecting me more this cycle than any other cycle before. Not only am I getting headaches but having some weird mood swings and anxiety too. It's not fun! About posting - if you haven't already checked it out, there is a big Feb. group going on in the IVF boards. There are some people there doing FET cycles.

BSADLER81 - I totally understand how you are feeling right now. This weekend I had to be around two pregnant people - one friend, one acquaintance. They are both as far along as I would have been had either my first FET cylce worked or the last fresh cycle I just did. It was so hard to be around them knowing that is where I could be right now. And it is so hard to be around people who can just plan when to get pregnant and not have any difficulties. I would never wish that anyone go through the disappointment that we all have but it doesn't make it any easier to hear the stories of how it just worked out so easy.

ImHis - I hear you about the Texas weather!!! Yuck! I also miss living somewhere with ALL 4 seasons!

Anyway, it sounds like everyone is well on the way! It's exciting for me to hear that many of you have started your estrace. I go in for my appt. on Friday and if everything looks good will start then. I am also having a hard time getting excited about this cycle - too much disappointment from before. But, I am sure that as the time gets closer I will get more excited. Hang in there everyone. It's getting closer!

Transfer Dates
ms610 - 2/3
bsadler81 - 2/5
maybeamommy - 2/6
nbianca - 2/6
ImHis - 2/10
Prayingforamiracle - 2/10
hopefulstill - 2/12 or 13

It looks like our list is growing. how awesome and exciting. We are spread out all over Febuary!

I got the OK to start my estrace and vivelle patches yesterday, so we are right on target so far. I go for a check next monday and Friday and I am guessing after that Friday check (th 30th) they will tell me if they are going to keep the 2/10 date or move it up. Im OK with whatever. God will pick the day and we will go with it!
I am already feeleing tired. I do 3 estrace a day and I am in the "changing" mode of going from being on AF to my body feeling pregnant with the extra hormones, so I am in a weird feeling state. I sure do sleep well at night though!

You know as far as prenatal vitamines, do all of you take a prescription kind? I have always just taken an over the counter type. Its been 12 years since my last child and I know then they prescribed me some, but I just figured that they didnt do that anymore.
mmm maybe I should ask.... I dont know if there is a diference in them or not.
What do your RE's say?

I must say... Texas weather is perfect today. 65 and clear sunny skies with just enough of a breeze. We have all our windows open adn we are just listening to the outside sounds like birds and stuff. so peaceful!

Hi girls,

I hope you do not mind if I join! I have a tentative transfer scheduled for 2/20. I have never done a FET so I am a bit unsure of the meds. I am being prescribed delestrogen IM shots (yippee ) and PIO. I was not prescribed Estrace. I have six frozen and am hoping to get 2 transfers out of this.

I am so happy to have you all...best wishes,

Erin

Erin! Glad you are here! I haven't heard of the delestrogen IM shots but I do the PIO. I think that the FET cycles are much less stressful than than the fresh cycles. At least, there isn't as much medicine to keep up with!

ImHis - that's great that your starting the Estrace! In my mind that always means I'm one step closer. My prenatal vitamins are prescription. I've never asked if I could just do over-the-counter because even though they are more expensive I just like the idea of them. It's all in my mind I know but for some reason it makes me feel better.

ImHis - I'm just taking over-the-counter prenatal vitamins, too. Also taking folic acid - so I think I'm getting about 200% of my daily allowance. I hope that's not too much - I know too much can make stuff appear weird on blood tests.

Welcome, Erin!! We're only 6 days apart from each other!

Erin! Hope you find this site as supportive as I do. Estrace is making me tired!!! I start taking 6mg tomorrow. My ultrasound is Thursday. It is getting close! I get butterflies in my stomach just thinking about it. Going to get a massage today. AWH..........love them. Very relaxing. My RE prescribed a different prenatal vitamin this week since I was having some side effects with the other. It is much better and my symptoms are less. I think the difference in RX vitamins vs. over the counter is DHA. It is omega 3 fatty acids that is suppose to good for the baby. My vitamins actually come in a pack of 2.....one is the prenatal and the other is the DHA. Who knows if it is really better or not. My insurance covers them, so that is why I continue to use the RX. Without insurance they are $58, so they better be good.......
Hope everyone is feeling good...........wishing for lots of

Thank you for all the input on the vitamines. I have to take a prescription for my folic acid (folgard) because I dont process it, so I think I am going to just ask about the RX prenatals. It never hurts right? If they say OTC is fine, then I will stick with those, if not, I will switch.
ms610... estrace does make you tired. I start off on the 6mg a day and stay that way, but I also have to use an estrogen patch(vivelle) and change it every 3rd day. So I am double dosing. Last cycle I ended up having to wear two patches so we will see what happens Monday with that.

I am starting to get excited and hopeful!
