Cathi: I missed you on my post yesterday. I am glad that everything went great with your appt... That's fantastic that you saw her and she's doing greta. I am glad your cervix is holding up. Good news... Are you still in a modified bed rest? How is that going?

afm: Last night I was tired!! I was in bed by 9:15pm and woke up at 7:15am... I loved it... DD cooperated so I managed to sleep well. I am getting ready to sleep today... I am a little stressed about tomorrow, but I am trying to think positive!

I will update as soon as I get back home from the appt... Have a good night everyone...

Marthac...My DH tells me that my nose is a bloodhound. If something does not smell right, my mood changes instantly.

Holdingmybreath...My doctor is very conservative when it comes to finding out the sex of the baby. Our original date to find out was August 13, but changed it to August 5. Like your doctor, the later date would give him a clearer picture of the heart and some other things. Thank you for the information about the maternity clothes...I need to look into that. I know I need to go clothes shopping.

NorthEastGirl...My anatomy scan is next Wednesday. I love when I'm able to sleep the entire night without getting up...that's a good night. Let us know how your scan goes.

Cathi...Reading your posts made me crack up about the boobs. Yesterday, DH and I went swimming and my DH was telling me that he is able to float. So of course, I tried to float and guess what...I sank. This DH reaction . So as determine as I am, I tried to float and again I sank like the Titanic.

AFM...Getting prepared for the school year. My principal changed my grade level so this summer, I've been planning. I do not if you guys are experiencing this but I have a hard time multi-tasking now. Does any one have this problem?

Hi everyone!

Just popping in quick...it's been a zoo here at work and the next two weeks are going to be h e l l on earth...we have so many people on vacation so long long days for me...otherwise I feel good...feets are swollen in this NYC heat and Humidity....UGG is all I can say! Slept great on Wednesday and last night. I went to the doc on Tuesday and only gained a pound this month...so 8 in total so far..woo hoo...I feel like I gained 50 LOL! Heart rate for Zach was great at 155-160...this is the first time any doc gave me a rate. My bp was ok 120/82! Doc said to watchthe fruits...he asked what I was eating and I told him lots of fruits and veggies...hesaid watch the sugar in the fruits and OJ...something else to have to worry about LOL! Has anyone thought about their shower? My hubby keep asking questions, like where the address book it and stuff...my mom is not a big party thrower and he commented to his mom that he would take care of it...I guess I was not supposed to hear but I did. We do not have a large family at all...should he invite my friends from work even though they are going to have something for me at work.

OK We've got a big day today right??? We should be getting some news from a few of you right??

hopeful - good news at the doc..that's awesome about the weight gain. i've been eating really good, but i too feel like i've gained more than I have actually gained. i was eating a ton of fruit and the ob told me to cut down because of the sugars too. but, he told me to load up on the veggies. as far as the shower, i have a friend who is an awesome party planner and she is due 4 days after me and she wants to throw me my shower with my best friend and mom. i know my co workers are going to throw me a shower, so I really didn't want to invite them to my other shower. but then there are a few girls that keep asking about, so i am totally confused as to what to do. i wonder if anyone else has advice on this????

afm - i wish my appointment was now. i leave work at 1pm today so i have 5 hours!!

Hopeful those are great news about the BP and your weight gain! I wish I was on the same boat with the weight gain!!! I have packed up 10 lbs already which is not good. Hopefully it'll slow down (I have no idea how though, since I am eating all the time )...

Nascar: That's upsetting about changing your grade... I know what you mean about multitasking. I can't do two things at once right now. There is no way. I can't imagine needing to prepare for something! Good luck....

I've been looking around on line for the equiette (sp?) on showers and I can't find much...I know I've thrown showers at work and still was invited to the one at home..who knows LOL

I've kinda thought about the shower(s). When I got my positive test my mom said oh goody we can have a shower. So the other day I asked me sister if she or my mom were planning on throwing a shower when we come down in September. She said she was going to, but she hadn't given it a lot of thought. I told her I wasn't asking her to do one, but if she was going to do one I wanted to give her some names and address of friends to invite.

Up here a couple ladies from church have offered to throw me a baby shower in October. I do plan to invite some ladies from work, even though I know they are planning on doing something at work. I wouldn't completely say that my coworkers are going to throw me a shower (cause that's not what I call what they do), but I know they announce it to everyone in my department which there are probably 50+ what day they are "doing" the shower and what they ask is for anyone to bring in food and/or donate a towards a gift. Then they buy something off the registry. It's not anything like my last job where we throw an all out shower, and everyone who attended brought gifts. I don't know if my hubby's department (we work at the same company) is going to do anything and I wonder if I should invite some of the ladies from his department to the shower my church friends are throwing.

I can't wait to hear from you guys who had u/s today.

I can't really help you girls on the whole shower thing. I had no idea when I had my first shower. DH took care of the whole address and inviting situation, so I had no idea...

Afm, I had the peri appt today. Things are looking GOOD!!! I still have another 4 u/s scheduled, but for now, everything looks excellent! I am soooooo happy! oh, and btw, it's a GIRL!!!!. We are so happy. We didn't care what it was, we just wanted a healthy little kid... So my DD will have a little sister to play with! How exciting!

hi!! well, everything looked super great with baby, yes baby GAVIN! it's is for sure a BOY!!! he is weighing in at 11 oz. and I measuring at 20 weeks..so a little ahead of schedule. he was so cute, moving all around ...we saw him for about 45 minutes. i do have a fibroid on my uterus, the u/s tech said that was normal. i will see what ob says on friday. it kind of freaks me out, but i will not stress and wait until what the ob says. it's so amazing to see his spine and heart and brain and feet and arms...so surreal! i attached a couple of pics...the 2nd is the gender...see, he is a boy!!!

northeast - ANOTHER GIRL!!! WOOHOO! that is sooo cool for your dd...i love it!!! i am soooooo happy that everything looked great! that is super exciting!!!

Nascar- I have trouble with single-tasking lately, let alone muti-tasking! I am sorry you have to switch grades and do all of the extra planning right now...not fair!

Hopeful- Glad you had a good Dr.appt! You have done great with your weight gain! I have been eating soooooo much fruit, it's rediculous. I never thought about the sugar.

Cathi- How is your rash? Did the dr. say anything about it?

I had an OB appt on Thurs and everything was OK...no u/s, we just listened to the heartbeats. I have gained 16 pounds already! I also went to see a cardiologist yesterday b/c I was having some slight heart palpitations, but I had an EKG and it was normal. I will have an ECHO next week and have to wear a heart monitor for 30 days just to be sure everything is OK.. It seems a bit much, but I'll do it. Better safe than sorry. As for the shower, I don't really know much etiquette. My sis and best friend are throwing me one over Labor Day (a little early, but who knows if/when bedrest will start for me). I am not inviting current co-workers b/c I don't really know anyone all that well. OK, I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Mery I am so happy your U/S went good. I loved seeing each body part too...very fun..I could watch Megyn all day... Your pics are sooo cute...

Northeast I just put your actual DD..I am have a C section too and doctor wont let me go past X mas....We will just update the lst when we get a confirmed date...So exciting...We are all moving right a long

Hey Martha, Doc says there is nothing they can do for rash,,benedryl is the only thing I ca take for relief..It is going away and A lot less itchey...I haven't had to take anything in 3 nights..

Glad your EKG went well....When are you seeing your MFM,,did you make the Appt yet?

AFM--Shower...well I am not doing one this time..#1 I am on bed rest...but mostly I had two showers for the triplets, we returned a lot of stuff and still have a ton of money on girt cards plus I just don't feel right asking people to buy additional things...We will have a bapitsim party when Megyn gets home,
