Hi Mommies! It's been so so crazy here at work. We moved floors and departments and it has been complete mayhem! Besides the fact that I am super tired...just like in the first tri!

Mery - did a little shopping on Friday...I wound up in Target and they are sooo much cheaper the BRU for the same stuff...I spent about $150....and got everything I needed except the pnp. Little birdie told me not to get it...LOL! I also went online to Pampers.com and joined to get coupons and stuff...$2 off here and there never hurts.

Tanya - I al so glad you are feeling good!! Stay in touch!!

Northeast - sorry you are so tired and swollen...I don't have another LO and I feel the same way! I hope you can get some rest and feel better!

afm- I have the regular ob today and Peri on Wednesday. I am feeling super tired...Zach is taking all my energy!! I went through a lot of his clothes and took the tags off and washed a bunch of 0-3mos clothes, his bedding and blankets. I was pooped! We pretty much have everything right now...just the pnp and I heard I was getting it as a gift. I never realized how much cheaper Target is...I wish I investigated before regisering at BRU....Things have calmed with my mom and she got Zach a cute little snow suit...I did not even think of it...it may be really cold when we leave the hospital... I have 42 days of work left...but who's counting LOL!

chodoris - glad all is well ...stay in touch!! how come you are stuck at home..are you off work?

northeast - i'm with you..i want to meet him..but i know i've still got some weeks to go. i can only imagine how hard it must be to have a toddler in this stage of pregnancy. you are doing great..hang in there!

hopeful - yes..target is awesome..has some great deals. we went to bru this weekend and got just a few more items we needed off registry. we are going to start washing too...i just want everything to be put away and totally organized.

afm - had an OB appt on friday and he wants me to start coming every week now i guess cause of the gd..and i will start fetal monitoring this week...twice a week until delivery. i'm starting to get more tired and my tummy popped out so much more. my sugars have been steady, so i am grateful for that. we had to go to the ER last night but for dh..he had a really bad foot infection from boxing...and he had this red streak going up his leg. we didn't get home until after 1am so i couldn't go to work today..plus, he can't even walk so he needed me today. i wore a mask in the er, but they saw i was pg and his red line going up his leg, so they got us in in literally 5 minutes..thank goodness.

we haven't had to much action on our thread..i hope you all are doing good!!

mery - I hope hubby is ok!! to him!! You are doing a great job taking care of Gavin! It good your doc is looking after you!

afm - went to ob last night...blood pressure is now becoming an issue...130/91. Not terrible...but not good. So when I go to the Peri tomorrow they are going to consult and OB thinks induction at 36-38 weeks...they will do an amnio to check on lung development..then go from there...that only gives me about 4-5 weeks...Yikes. I feel ok, but bp is no something that makes you feel yuckie....so I am trying to drinkmore water and stay away from the salt... that works! Have a great day mommies!!

Mery~ I am glad you have your sugars under control...I will pray for your DH, I hope it clears up soon...I am happy the ER got you in quickly..So they still have you working??? Just try to take it easy...I can't believe they wont write you a note...

Hopeful~~ I am sorry to hear about your BP, It is better to be safe than sorry so the induction might be needed...The ammnio will help them determine...I am getting one too at 37 weeks, you will have to let me know how it goes, I am a little nervous about it.

AFM~~ I passed my GD test I got a 97...but as always when you get good news they follow it up with the bad...I guess I have another UTI...I didn't even know this time, So I am on meds for a week...UGHH Its always something

So for a quick story because my blood is still boiling...Since I have been on bed rest I have lacked on getting the flu shot, my ob ws not happy and wants me to get it asap, well of coarse all the places locally are all out of the flu shot, So I went to Facebook, because I figured someone would know where they still had it in stock...So I did get a few answers to where the shot is available, but I also sparked a flu shot controversy....I had this woman who I work with her husband respond to me that I need to do research and not get the shot...I politely explained to her that I personally have gotten the flu shot for 14 years and have never had any reaction or the flu, I told her my DH does not like the shot and does not get it...(for me it is a personal prefrence I don't judge either wasy), well this is a few lines of what she wrote to me

If you asked Logan if you should get the flu shot, what would he say? IF he said he doesn't want you to get it, I am a firm believer in following your husband as that is what the Bible says. If your husband advises you not to get it, I would not.

Anyway, I'm so glad you haven't had any issues so far with the flu shot... but follow your husband. God will bless your obedience.

God will bless my obedience REALLY!!! I had to call my husband right away and tell him what she wrote..He just laughed and said she does not know either one of us......For me this is just a personal prefrence...Logan and I discussed both shots and we decided we would do what ever the doctor recommened, Well my doctor recommened both of us get both shots, ther was never a discussion he was like OK I will get the shots then...

Sorry to use this as my soap box...I am on bed rest so human interaction is limited...lol

Only a few weeks left for everyone..I am getting so excited and a bit nervous....

Hey Cathi! Ok...I am a Christian..I read my bible daily..there are areas where they say to listen to your husband...but what about the part of the husband taking care of his wife. If it is important and for the safety of you and your newborn...he needs to do what will be to take care of his wife...some people love to get up on their high horses and preach what they think they know and impose their opinion on others. I so hate that...she needs to read her Bible more. I am sorry she did this...it's really wrong. What you and Logan discuss is between you ...you were asking where to get it not if you should..jeeezz...I have not gotten mine yet either...got a little tongue lash last night from doc too...but I told him the last time I got it I got really sick...so he backed off...hubby still did not get his cause the government has not supplied his facility yet...he said if there is no word by Friday he will go to Walgreens to get it...now that we have the news of possibly having the baby sooner. I am a little freaked about the amnio too...where are they going to put the needle...they is so little room now, but I guess it will be easier since he will not have all that room to move around. But I guess at this late point in the game it will be ok. My colleagues are worried because I have not shown them everything that I do. Well I guess they will have to learn faster.

hopeful - wow! incuding between 36-38 weeks...that is quick! they definetly will monitor you close now and your bp and that is good..but that makes it all the more close!! it's getting so real for all of us!! yes, drink lots of water and keep us posted!

cathi - yes...they still have me working..so annoyed. i want to be off work already..there is so much drama here..I just want to be home! wow, that's an awesome number on your gd test..you go!! sorry about the UTI..those are no fun. as for the person that you sent you that..how rude! god bless your obidience..what a freak. don't you love how people think they can just pass on this stuff to you ....like they know everything! it is a personal preference..you are right. how dare she pass judgement!!! you and dh do what is right for you.

afm - at work hating it! it's hard to sit up at a desk all day being this huge in the tummy! there is so much weird drama around here and i just dont' need it...why won't my OB just take me off of work? dh is still in pain...poor guy...his foot looks like it is getting better though.

Mery, I am so sorry about DH. I hope he feels better fast. As far as the OB goes, ask him about letting you go out. I don't see why he'd say no... Mine has said that whenever I want he can pull me out.

Cathi: I can't believe this woman. I HATE when people try to impose their opinion on me. I never try to impose myself on others and I expect the same of others. She's an idiot... You should do whatever you feel comfortable doing. Having said that, I had my flu shot a couple of weeks ago, and I am hopefully getting my H1N1 shot in a couple of weeks. There is severe shortage of the H1N1 shots in MA and I am going to a Pregnancy vaccine clinic to get it which is about 30 miles from my house. That's how strongly I feel about getting it. I know people don't agree with me, but I would never try to tell them anything. It's a personal choice...

Hopeful: I am hoping that your BP will stay stable! But, induction is such a short time... wow... you'll get to meet your little one pretty soon. How nice!

As for me, I am having an ok day. I have had this pain on my upper right side. It feels like it's bruised, even though I have no bruise there. I am trying to think if I had that with DD but I have no idea. I will have to speak to my OB about it on Mon. My pregnancy complaint sessions are starting I am sure he's used to it by now... Oh well, beauties of pregnancy... Before I know it though, it'll be over! Woo Hoo....

northeast - most of the people I know say the same thing about letting me go from work...that they will get taken out whenever they want. it's frustrating..i feel like he is forcing me to work when i have these issues. i see him again this thursday...i'll see what he says then. maybe your little gal is kicking alot up there and that is why it hurts. i try not to complain about the pg symptoms because i am so thankful to be pg, but that is not an easy task....i think we've come this far and we are aloud to vent. our bodies are going through alot!

Mery- I'm sorry about your day so far...I hope it gets better. I hope you can get out of work soon, or at least go 1/2 days. Is DH feeling better?

Northeast- I can't imagine chasing a little one right now...you deserve a gold medal! As for the bruised feeling, I am having that too. I think someone is up in my ribs, and I am so sore!

Hopeful- I hope your BP gets regulated. Hopefully lots of water and low salt will do it! I agree with you on Target...way cheaper on lots of items than BRU!

Tanya-I'm glad you are feeling better after the flu...that's scary! I didn't realize you had kids...are they able to help out at all, or are they too little?

Cathi- that FB lady needs to mind her own business! I am glad your glucose test was good! Hope your UTI goes away soon.

afm- My MIL stayed with me for a few days while DH was out of town. She wheeled me around BRU and Target in the wheelchair and we got lots of stuff...it was nice to get out! DH will go with me, but he is not really patient enough to look at each item, compare prices, fabrics, etc! She also cleaned and cooked, which was so nice...I feel so much better in my clean house! I had the glucose test last Thurs. and it came back "a little high" (i didn't ask for the number b/c I was asleep when I got the call)so I have to go Fri for the 3 hour test. I'm not excited about that at all...it is very uncomfortable for me to sit for 3 hours, not to mention, not eat for a while... I hope it turns out OK. Both DH and I got the H1N1 vaccine as well. Our OB had the preservative-free shots. I am so tired lately...sleeping 10-11 hours/night and still pooped during the day.

oh...i bet you are pooped..i am pooped with one little guy! does the doctor say how big you are measuring? i wish i could get the flu and the h1n1..there seems to be a shortage and it's so frustrating. i was just reading the in local paper, and they are getting some in but they mostly going to shot clinics, not ob's or regular doctor offices. dh is feeling a bit better but still very sore...I want him to get better soon! i hate seeing him limping around..I feel bad!
