Martha, I can't even start to imagine how you feel at this point! I am constantly exhausted just carrying one. I can't imagine being any bigger than this, I am sure you are a "tiny" bit more uncomfortable than me!

Mery: I hope you're feeling a touch better than this afternoon. Pregnancy hormones coupled with DHs comments are not the best combo. I have personal experience with that You just have to let it slide... I could have an argument every night if I choose too, mainly because by the time he gets home he's tired, I am tired and we still have to go through the routine of putting DD to bed/bathe/feed.... Not fun. Once we are done and we sit down to relax, anything that comes out of his/my mouth can be a cause for an argument...

The weather was horrible over here all day long today. So we had to stay inside and it was hard trying to entertain DD all day long along with trying to put my feet up. She's sleeping now, and instead of choosing to sit and relax, I made a pound cake. I am regretting the choice (I really don't need any more calories..) but I am soooooo in the mood for a nice pound cake!

Morning mommies...well I am officially on leave as of tomorrow...Peri thought I was out already. BP was not good and he want me to get to at least 35 weeks. He said at this point if I continue to work it is not good for me or the baby. His quote was you need to be resting, feet up and bon bons in hand...he is cute LOL. So needless to say it made me more in a panic and now I feel so rushed. I will try to help from home, but I know hubby is going to restrict me....I feel so helpless right now...

Sorry I did not do personals now...I will later..I too am quite emotional and in some hormonal land...ugg

Have a good day mommies!

Mery - sending you ...I hope you are feeling better. I hear ya on peeps being sick and coming to work...I don't get it...stay home. I am a germaphobe naturally...I take the SI Ferry with 1500 people and they sneeze and cough and do not cover their mouths...I wanna scream sometimes!!

martha - you MIL sounds great...can I borrow her too! I am sure you are so pooped! Wow 10 hours a night...that's so nice! you'll make it through the 3 hour!

northeast - you deserve a medal..taking care of DD has got to be exhausting on it's own. The weather has been so crappy here too. I've been baking a lot too...latest try was banana bread with a real banana in it...it was pretty good. I guess maybe it's a nesting thing.

afm - feel like a total mess here at work...got lots to do and train on but not too much time. Oh on the good newss ide...Mr Zach is almost 5 pounds...he going to be a porker LOL!! The sono now is not so clear and I could not see much, but the sono tech said he looked awesome!

~Martha~ Wow you have an AWESOME MIL~~ good for you.I get a long with my MIl pretty well, but she is nothing like urs...she would never clean my house, although she does like to comment on it..lol we call her the inspector...lol we keep a very clean house, but she always finds something to comment on...Oh that plant is nice....do you ever water it??? have you thought about putting it over here. to get more light??? Me nd DH just laugh it off...She means well..lol

Mery~ Do you go to the Doctor today???? you need to stage a sit in...do not leave his office until you have out of work papers in hand!!

Hopeful~~ I know I can't believe Christmas is coming so quickly, Black friday is 4 short weeks away!!! YEAH!!! We went with the Graco birkshire PNP...It matches the decore of our downstairs, since thats where the PNP will be mst of the time, we wanted it to "go" with the rest of the house.. here is what it looks like Graco Suite Solutions Portable Playard - Birkshire - Graco - Babies "R" Us

~~Mery~~ Post as soon as can after your Doctors appt..I am glad Dh is going with you, somethimes all it takes is a little hubby support to get the doctors listening...

We are meeting with who we think we have picked for a pediatrician today at 430...If all goes well, it will be one more check off on my growing list of things to do before Megyn arrives

Cathi...It sounds like that woman is submissive which drives me crazy. What ever you decide to do is the right decision. Like Martha said that woman needs to mind her own business. As for this hot weather, OMG. My kids at school are begging to go back inside and not have recess because it is so hot.

Hopeful...Congratulations! You must listen to your doctor. One of my favorite ice-creams is Moose Traps...yummy.

Marthac...I agree with the girls about having a fabulous MIL...lucky girl. I do notice my body slowing down and needing more sleep.

NorthEastGirl...You're right about this pregnancy going fast. The 1st trimester took forever it seemed. I do notice I've been asking DH for help more which is so unlike me. Maybe, I'm trying to prepare him when the baby comes. Hehehe!

Mery...Men are too funny! As long as I have been with my DH, you would think he would already know how I feel. Sure...not! A couple of weeks ago, we talked about hiring a doula. It took me a few months and I finally found one. Then, my darling DH said, I really don't like the idea of a doula. My mouth dropped. He expressed to me that he feels like I'm taking away his "coaching" job. After going back and forth, I said okay and he is my "official doula." Gotta love it!

AFM...Super busy! DH is almost done with painting the baby's room. I will post pictures once completed. Now, the other thing we are working on is buying a crib. Each time we go to BRU, we decide on one and then change our minds. Now, the one we like, we have to special order it. But overall, this pregnancy has been great.

nascar - i am glad to hear from you and that you are doing well and that dh is going to be your official doula..that's awesome! please post pics when you are done with the nursery...ours is done, we are just waiting for a picture we ordered online.

afm - well went to OB and he will not take me out of work yet.....ugggh! he said that since my sugars are under control, my blood pressure is perfect and i actually lost another pound, that things are going great...dh asked him about the gd and said isn't that a cause to let her get out of work, she's stressed, etc., and he said nope! he said he will take me out a month before due date. he did say that the baby is getting really big and i have another u/s on 11/10 and we will go from there...i guess i will have to stick it out a bit longer! i start fetal monitoring on monday so at least i will be able to leave work early twice a week.

so..he also said that depending on that u/s he will most likely schedule a c section for me 2 weeks before my due date of 12/26 because mom's with gd have greater risks in birth and because he is growing so big...so that makes it like 6 weeks for me now!!! i really really wanted to experience labor and have a vaginal birth...but whatever is best for baby gavin, it's all good. just a tiny bit freaked out about a c section.

northeast and cathi - i know you've both had c sections...how is the recovery and everything that goes along with it?

~Nascar~~ UGHHHH to this weather...I am so over the hot weather.. I can't wait for the Picks!!!!

~~Mery~~ I cannot believe you have to keep working...Just try to take it easy...and rest as much as you can...and drink plenty of water.. can you put you feet up at your desk?? As for the c section...It isn't that bad..the good thing is you know when the baby is coming and you do not have to labor all day long..recovery really isnt that bad...the best thing is to get up and move shortly after your surgery..dont worry the nazi nurses will have you moving even when you swear you can't...But it helps...My scar isnt that bad ..this time I plan on using a scar treatment after...There are pros and cons too each type of delivery..but is Gavin is a big boy...you will be glad you got the c section...but honestly it isn't all that bad...I honestly felt like my girl parts were back to normal quicker than with my vag delivery...This might be TMI~~ but the baby goo seemed like it didn't last as long with my c section...(something no one warns you about) it feels like you will bleed for ever...it seemed to only last a week or so with my c section where it was over a month with vag delivery..everyone is different though...I can;t believe you only have 6 weeks left..thats only 42 days....plus you may get to "pick" the due date..thats kinda cool...We got to pick ours...the 18th is my grandmothers and megyns greatgrandmothers birthday on my side and my Dh's late uncle who passed away as a teenager in a tragic accident...so both sides of the family are happy with the date...good luck to you and keep us posted...

WOW we are all getting SO close!!! 49 days left for me....not that I am obsessing lol...We met our pediatrician today...I LOVE HIM!!!! He was so freaking nice ...he is older, not too old that he wont be around to watch Megyn grow up but old enough that he has been there done that!!!

Mery, wow amazing!!! I wish I could have 6 weeks left! Well, the c-section is nothing to worry about. As Cathi mentioned it's easy... The hardest part is the first time they ask you to get out of bed. You'll swear there is no way that can happen, but once you do it once, it only becomes easier from then on. The trick to the whole thing, is to keep up with your meds (you'll LOVE your meds!) and to keep moving... If you don't move enough, it'll take you longer to recover. I was on narcotics for 3 days I believe, and then I was on Motrin 800mg. It was just fine. I will have to disagree with Cathi on the bleeding though. Everyone was saying the same thing to me about bleeding, but I was bleeding for almost 8 weeks after delivery (sorry TMI)... I went back to the OB and he said that each person is different and not to worry, because the placenta and everything is else is gone, so it was just a matter of time... But overall, I would prefer the c-section over a vaginal delivery... You schedule your appt, and within 2 hours you have your baby and you are relaxed... That baby doesn't care if you were laboring for a day before you delivered and then you need to rest. The baby immediately needs your total attention, and the c-section allows that Just my two cents!!!

Cathi: I am glad you like your pediatrician. I love the one we have as well. He's in his mid 40's so, my DDs will have him for the majority of their teenage years.... Plus he's very nice.

Mery, I am sorry that your OB is insisting on keeping you working... try to rest as much as you can...

Nascar: Congrats on being almost done with the room... That's so nice. As for the crib, don't worry too much about the special order. You'll have the baby next to you in your room for some weeks after delivery (I had DD for 5 months before moving her to her crib) so having the crib delivered to your house after the baby arrives, it's not such a big deal...

Hopeful: 5lbs? That's a big baby... My DD was born at 6lbs 14oz... Wow.... He's going to be a big boy!!! How are you feeling today? Try to relax, it's ok to take some time and pamper yourself. You'll really appreciate these weeks once Zach arrives... Enjoy the time at home

Hey mommies

Last day is really getting me down...But I am looking forward to sleeping past 5am. I think I need to re-train my cats NOT to be fed so early LOL! The girls took me to lunch and one of the guys got us a Target Gift Card...he was listening when I was complaining that Target is cheaper then BRU and that I should have registered at target...he's a rally nice guy though! Got a lot done, but I know I'm going to get calls...it's ok...it's nice to feel needed I guess. this is the first time in 21 years I will be off for more than 2 weeks...so odd!

northeast - I am looking on the bright side of not having to get up and commute and to enjoy my time home. Zach is going to be a big boy...if he gets too big it will be a Csection...that's for the personal experience. I am afraid either way!

nascar - I am so happy you are feel great....check out the coupons for BRU...there are some in the December due dates thread...not sure there is one for cribs.

mery - I'm going to beat you ob up...it's so crazy...I feel bad that I feel ok and I'm going out.

Cathi I am so happy you like you pediatrician...we have an appointment for 11/25..she is the wife of one of my clients. He's great..I hope she is too!

cathi - i am so happy that it worked out with your pediatrician and he is so great..that's awesome!!! 48 days...isn't it crazy!!!

northeast and cathi - thanx so much for the info on the c section...i've been reading about but it's so much better to hear from you guys because you've been through it! you're right, the baby doesn't care how he comes into this world, i need to remember that. i am a little anxious because i don't know what to expect, but i know millions of women have done it! i think I am just afraid of the recovery, but i know i can do it..i'm tough!

hopeful - i'm sure it was an emotional day but it is now your turn to nest and to prepare for zach and to rest lots! you deserve it!

afm - i had today off, and i went nuts nesting...organizing, cleaning..i can't stop! i did manage to get my hair and nails done which felt so great. then it was back to organzing..if my back, feet and ribs didn't hurt so bad, i'd still be going! have a great weekend mommies!!!

oh...has anyone else noticed that your lo has dropped? my tummy dropped and I am low riding...gavin kicks or head butts my bladder and i feel like i want to pee my pants!

Mery- I can't believe your OB either, but just try your best to relax anyway! Gavin is a big boy...you may be really glad if you have that c-section. My sis had both and preferred the c-section (both with big babies). Yes, I feel a low kick and immediately have to pee!

Hopeful-Enjoy your time off! Yes, tell your kitties they need to move their schedule up a few hours so you can sleep!

Nascar- I can't wait to see your baby room pics! My DH is picking up our cribs right now. It's gonna be a long weekend for him, putting them together!

Northeast-thanks for the info on the c-section! You make it sound so smooth and easy! How was the pound cake the other day? yummm...

Cathi-I'm glad you found a pediatrician you like-it's nice to have that taken care of! Thanks for your input on the c-section, too. It seems there are lots of positives. Sounds like Megyn will have a very special birth date- that's pretty neat!

afm-the 3 hour glucose test was tough-I was starving, thirsty and exhausted and very uncomfortable sitting for 3 hours (but of course, I will do what I have to do for the little guys!) I should know the results next week. On a good note, my peri is very pleased with my progress and the boys look great! Have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Just think, next year we will get to dress up our little ones
