cathi - i know..isn't it crazy..i'm having to fight to get off work..and if i didn't have all this stuff going on, i would never ask to be out of work, ever. i am so glad megyn is looking awesome and they will be monitoring you so closely. yeah mom...i bet it feels good to get everything else you needed..now you are really ready for megyn!

holding - i'm glad things are going well with you! i'm tired too.

afm - well, no call from either fricking doctor today....i emailed the peri and asked if he talked to my OB yet..i need to hear something by tomorrow or i swear, i am about ready to freak out...seriously.

i didn't go to work today, again..i am still feeling nauseous and my boss basically told me not to come in. i was saying last week to you guys how people keep coming in sick...well, one of the girls that was hacking up her lungs walking by my desk, BOTH of her kids have the swine flu..and my boss said that there are a bunch of people sick at my work and she just does want me to go in and get sick. i explained that to the peri too in the email...this is just getting so ridiculous and stressing me out!

Mery - do not go to work! You do not need to get sick on top of everything else. I am so soryr you having to deal with this added stress...you need to take care of you and that little boy!

holding - things to add up...I think I am a huge fan of Target now...same items are $10 to $20 cheaper than BRU.

cathi - you are doing awesome! Yea MOM!! You are all set for Megyn. I too am getting sonos weekly due to the bp issue. Headaches have been coming and going...been drinking water like a fish and eating with hardly any salt.

martha - I think everything is fixed regarding disability now. Since I had so much vacation from 2008...I never took a day for 2009...I can carry 2 weeks into 2010...HR called yesterday and asked what I would want ...get paid for 2 and carry 3 or get paid for 3 and carry 2 (policy is carry 2). I told them I do not care...I just do not want to lose the time. So they are getting back to me. The extra $$ either way will be nice.

afm - not much going on...my cousin came by to keep me company yesterday...she gave me her brest pump. It is a Medela..it looks brand new. I will get new tubes and breast shields and they also have a cleaning kit. It'll cost about $30 buck compared to $369 for a brand new pump. Every little bit helps!

Hopeful~~ That is awesome about the pump,,,WOW what a savings..Good for you...Hey when you are in the hospital ask the lactation person, they gave me a kit while in the hospital tubes and everything for the pump before I left...maybe you will get lucky and get it there

hopeful - you are lucky you got the breast pump..we got ours at one of the showers, that thing costs a pretty penny!!! i know we will get a lot of use out it! how are you doing?? how's bp????

afm - well, FINALLY! i am officially off of work...phew! i called my OB this morning since i didn't get a call yesterday and told him that the peri said i should be out of work and guess what he said.."OK..no problem..he is right..you need to get your rest." so weird, because just last week it was a struggle. oh well, it's done. i dropped the paperwork off to the nurse this morning, so hopefully everything goes easy. since I am a government employee, i have a month waiting period before I get a check...so at least I have a week out of the way..and only 3 more weeks. i really feel like a load has been lifted..maybe i won't be so stressed and hormonal. i have 4 appointments next week, so that is like a job in itself.

i hope all mommies have a great weekend! we are all getting so close!!

asm not much going on. We are going to clean out the office and set up the bed for my in laws and then get a bunch of stuff into the storage shed out back. We also have our birthing class on Sunday again, so that's about it.

afm- well, I failed the 3 hour test, but I passed the fasting portion, so I have gest. diabetes, but I am only on diet restriction. I have to wait until Monday to meet with the dietician, so I've just been eating very healthy. Mery, how are you holding up with the diet? Has it been difficult? I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

holding - sounds like you are getting into the nesting mode..what kind of childbirth class are you taking? is it through the hospital that you are delivering? we just finished our classes..pretty interesting. we have a baby saver class for a couple hours next weekend. have fun!

martha - to you! i am sorry you have gd..but at least you don't have to do the insulin, and if you did, it's no big deal. the diet is actually going well. it took me a week or so to get the hang of things, now it is easy. there is a lot more planning involved, but you can do it..plus you are already so far along..so it's just for a little while. you eat a balanced diet, and eat every 2-3 hours. and have to eat certain foods at each meal or snack. after the first couple of weeks, the dietician gave me an eating out guide and i wanted to hug her. i can eat a cheeseburger, but half the bun and veggies or salad instead of fries. it's weird because you eat more protein and fats, like real butter, and you have to eat the fats, because it absorbs the carbs. it's alot of food, just spread out throughout the day, and i've lost weight..even weirder. sometimes it is hard because i want a cupcake or some cookies, but i think, what is most important some sweets or a healthy baby. i am now craving pancakes, so i went online and they have recipes for low carb pancakes so i will try them this weekend. please, if you have any other questions, let me know!!!

oh...i also go to this website..it's CalorieKing - Diet and weight loss. Calorie Counter and more and it shows carbs in foods and in restaurants. it has helped me bunches!!!

Mery - I AM SOOOO HAPPY!!! This is great news! Rest up and enjoy the time. I was fighting being at home...but I am so greatful. I've been very tired and starting to swell a lot in my feet and hands. I paniced last night cause I could not get me rings off! I soaked them in cold water and had almost the whole container of cream on them...finally they are off and will stay off til after delivery! I napped for 3 hours yesterday and still was out cold at 10.

martha - I hope the dietician gives you some good tips. How are you doing? How are the boys?

cathi - I am going to ask about the tubings from the hospital....but if I have to buy them...it's fine with me..it was a great savings!

holding - good luck with cleaning up...we still have my MILs couch and tv stand in Zachs room. She claimed she was going to get it by the end of Nov..but when he calls just to ask how she is doing...it turns to a a bad conversation...he said if she does not come by Thanksgiving he is going to put it in her storage bin.

afm - tired is all I can say. I feel like the first tri. All I want to do is rest. But went to the library an got some books and DVDs...Hubby's 44th birthday is next week and friends want to take us out in the city for dinner....I am going to have to sleep all day so I can stay awake LOL! Other than that not much going on.

Hopeful I hear ya on the tired thing, I went out today for 2 hours to get flu shot and breakfast..I took a 4 hour nap..Man it did feel good..

I was able to get the H1N1 today, I got it at Walgreens, I was on my way to the health dept, but had to stop by a wagreens to get Dh a perscript. filled and saw the sign, They were able to get both of us the vaccine, although they are being very picky who they give the shots out to...The lady didn't see my huge belly at first and was trying to tell me I was not in the age catagorie...Then my Dh tried to get it, I told her he was concidered emergency personel because of being a Police offoicer, She had to check and make sure it was one of their approved professions.But after a little waiting we both got it and we didn't have to wait in the long line at the health dept...

I am just working little by little at washing everything in Megyn's room...WOw she has a lot of clothes already,,,and I have only bought her one outfit...This is going to be so much fun 5 1/2 weeks...I haven't been this excited about Christmas since Cabbage patch kids were the rage....lol

hopeful - wow..i am glad you were able to get those rings off and didn't have to get them cut off! phew! i am glad you are off too..i think the tiredness just hit us all at once. i can just do a little bit at a time and my lower back is really starting to hurt. i dropped a lot and so i think that is why my lower back is killing me. at least you can rest up so you can have a fun dinner in the city for dh birthday..happy birthday to him!!!!.sounds like a blast!

cathi - i am glad you both were able to get the vaccine. there seems to be a shortage here in so cal where i live, so i am calling the health agency tomorrow to see if i can get one soon. i was on the fence about it, but now i feel i really need to get it to protect us both. how are you feeling after it? washing the clothes is so fun! enjoy!! your telling me about christmas...i've NEVER been so excited!!!

nothing new here..we have a growth u/s on tuesday to check baby gavin's size and to see how big he is..i am thinking we will know more this week about a possible c section and when. are your babies rolling now and not so much kicking? he still kicks, hard, but i mostly feel this crazy rolling motion and he sticks out everywhere. i absolutely love it!!!

~~Mery~~ Yes I lucked out with the vaccine...We have a shortage here also...thats why I was going to go to the health dept...I would look them up on line, ours is having vaccination clinics...the only bad thing is there is usually a line, I would just get there early and bring a chair...We just happened to luck out and find a Walgreens that had it...I know cali doesnt have Walgeens...I felt no different after getting it and I feel fine today..I did take a healthy nap yesterday, but that was due to being up so early

Ahh and yes Megyn is rolling now too....It makes me feel like I am on a rollercoaster and I am loosing my tummy...feels cool though...I can't wait to find out how big Gavin has gotten...

Mery - I feel like a dropped a bit too...Zach is not so high.

cathi- great news on the H1N1..no luck here in NY. I am going to ask the peri tomorrow if the hospital has it and if he can give/get it for me. The hospital has a clinic attached (not the greatest arrangement) but they accomodate low income/welfare families.

I am feeling more rolling than kicks too...although when he does kick it's pretty hard. The other morning hubby rolled toward me and put his hand on my belly and Zach whacked him...he though I twitched/jumped...I told him no that's what your boy is doing to me LOL! I too have a growth u/s tomorrow. I have both peri and reg ob....hubby was talking with one of the RNs at work that used to work in L&D and pretty much was scarying him..she kept telling him that with my hbp that I would definitely need a c-section and that he should talk with both docs about being sure I am scheduled rather than going vaginal. He called me and was like get in bed and do not do a thing and feet must be 30 degree angle and a whole list of things. I really am not doing much...reading and watching some movies...other than that I feel ok...bored but ok. It is a gorgeous day here...high 60s and I would love to go for a walk, but I know it's out of the question. My mom is cooking dinner for Phil's b'day today...I made a cake..he's got the Giant game at 4...so he's happier than a clam.

My boss came by yesterday with her daughter ... it was nice to have a visitor...hubbies enjoyed talking sports.

Mery - I don't know if it's nesting or me being me. I don't like having a dirty home when people visit, but I did go buy a carpet cleaner over the weekend and we cleaned the carpets in the office. My hubby took everything out of the office and I cleaned. Then we rearranged and moved stuff back in. Tonight I was working on putting stuff back on the desk, but I don't want everything that was on here back on, so I'm taking my time. After this I still have to tackle the living room where all the "stuff" taken from the office landed and figure out what's going in storage and what's coming back in here. Then I get to clean the carpets in the rest of the house.

Cathi - I'm glad you found the shot and was able to get it. It's crazy how some places are "screening" hard and others just give it to whoever will pay for it.

Hopeful - that's kinda funny about what hubby's coworker told him. My hypno birthing instructor told us to not listen to anyone else. Things will happen how they happen and we don't always know all the other "circumstances" of why something went one way for another woman. I know what you mean about the weather up here. It was GEORGOUS. I cleaned the inside of the car out, just to get out in the sun.

Martha - I'm glad all you have to do it diet change. I'm also impressed at how far along you have gotten with those boys. You are doing a Great JOB!

asm, we had birthing class today. I got a ton of stuff done in the office/guest bedroom, but still have a long way to go. Unfortunately next weekend we have two birthing classes the series we've been doing on Sundays (Hypno Birthing) and a birthing 101 class. All our classes have been at the hospital we are giving birth at. I wish I had more energy during the week. I go to work and then I'm wiped out. My hubby's always tired and not much help either.

cathi - we do have walgreens so I will check there too! i'm glad to know you felt OK after the shot..the only time i ever got a seasonal flu shot i was so sick after...but i have to get this vaccine..no matter what. i am glad megyn is rollin around too!

hopeful - i want to bake SOOOO bad, but cannot due to the GD, it's just too hard...i am dying to make pumpkin bread and sugar cookies. i did get a recipe for low carb pancakes which i am going to try. let us know how big zach is! i am glad you are resting. dh is watching the giants too, but of course likes sd, since that is the closest team too us!

i don't like it when people talk about deliverys and make it sound so scary.... you just have to talk to your docs and get the info from them. i'm sure if she was a L&D nurse she knows, you are being monitored so closely, everything will turn out perfect ...... i had one of the gals at my work tell me how awful her c sections were and that she was numb from the neck down and was hyperventilating and all this crap..i'm like, OK..thanks for the info, but i am different than you. it's one of the not so nice girls at work, i think she was just trying to scare me. i was like, whatever is best for my baby, i will do whatever it takes.

holding - i am glad the birthing classes are going well...are you going to not get an epidural and go all natural..if so, you go girl! you can do it! i am so afraid of the pain, but did learn breathing techniques in our classes. i used them last sunday night when i had the contractions. i am a very clean person too, but there is something about organizing lately that i just love..it feels so good! i know how tired you must be after work, i get energy, then it's like WHAM...no more! hang in there!!

Mery - I'm going to try and go natural, but I'm not going to say 100% I'm not going to get an epidural. I do have a HUGE problem with a needle going into my back, so it will play a big part in me trying to avoid it. I am hoping for a natural vaginal birth, but I'm going to do what is best for the baby and know that I might not be able to have it the way I want. I have another u/s on wednesday to see what's going on with my placenta. They did suggest inducing if the placenta is still next to the cervix and if that happens, the artificial contractions maybe too much for me to handle and I will have to go with the epidural. We will see. I learned a technique to take myself to a place where I experienced great happiness from my past and when I was having contractions last week too I used this technique it was very helpful. The contractions were quite strong and when I started using the technique I they seemed to lighten a lot.
