Krissymexico...I do not know if I am going to get a trigger shot during this FET. This is a whole new process for me. I started estrogen patches on Sunday...the day AF arrived and I will go on progesterone soon.
Tell me more about shiatsu massage. It sounds really interesting.

KCFCLF...My ACP told me to stop my herbs at this time except one of them. Here is the list of herbs I was taking and stopped: Kidney Tonic, Imperial Tonic
and Astra Essence. I was surprised that she said for me to stop. She said that since I am taking the estrogen, then I do not need these herbs.

But, I am still taking these: Easy and Free Wanderer
Calm ZZZ (only at night), Royal Jelly (acts as a blood thinner) and Gogi Berry.

Hopeful12...It is so common to be a little scared your first time. I know I was. My 1st time I went we talked about my entire medical history which was pretty short and simple. Then, she looked at my tongue and took my pulse and said that she was going to work on nourishing my blood. One of the things she recommended for me to do was cut out ALL the cold foods. I thought she was nuts because the majority of my foods are cold especially my yummy salads. She said that cold food slows down your metabolism and slows down the blood flow. It was hard adjusting my diet. One book that she recommended was The Infertility Cure.

I'm doing fine, thank you for asking. DH is giving me Delstrogen injections every third day and I have no side effects. My RE suggested that this month I try Estrogen pills, but then told me that many people have side effects so I said "let's just stick with the injectables".

I am glad to have a few cycle buddies! My RE didn’t put me on Lupron because I am naturally suppressed. I don’t cycle without stims, so he started me right out with Estrogen.

My RE has never done bloodwork and he says it is not necessary since I am on injectable estrogen. He does one ultrasound to check uterine lining and that's it before transfer. He didn’t prescribe prenatal vitamins and has never discussed using baby aspirin. Is everyone on prenatal vitamins? I am wondering if I should get some. Also, what is the purpose of the baby aspirin?

Looks like we're going to have many many spring miracles!!!

hi ladies,

prayingfor a miracle.... im not on prenatals but i do take greens they are loaded with spinach, chlorophyll,spirulina,alfalfa etc.. and full of vitamins. i think the baby asprin is a blood thinner, it helps with the flow of the blood thats why they give it so that more blood reaches the uterus. im also on folic acid.

hopeful12.. you should try the acupunture and see what you think.. i was so nervous the first time as i have a fear of needles, but these dont seem to bother me.. my doctor looks at the tongue as well but he also looks at the iris in the eye he says there he sees whats out of balance.. he then puts needle to balance what i need , right now hes doing uterus, ovaries, circulation, hormones, and balancing my chi(energy). it also makes me so relaxed.

nascar01....wow thats so interesting about not eating cold foods im going to look into that. i eat tibetan goji berries, i eat a handful a day they are great antioxidants.
so here goes all about the shiatsu..
its a massage were the doctor puts pressure on certain points of the body.what he does is open the chi(energy) in your body so it can flow, when chanels are blocked and the energy does not flow then there is illness.
what he does is unifies spiritual, philisophical, mental aspects of the body. each point represents a organ like the kidneys, heart, liver, sex, etc... when a organ needs helps or work he puts pressure on it . he also works on your emotions, like if you have stuff emotionally that you need to get out.. i love combining shiatsu and acp..

Hi girls! April is getting closer! I can't believe how fast the time is going this time. Going in to have my E2 level checked tomorrow and ultrasound Tuesday to have my lining checked. Started viagra supp on Sunday. Have been a little sick the last couple days, wondering if it is just a coincidence or the med. Thankfully only 6 days to go with those. I decided not to do acupuncture this time since I have to drive over an hour for the appointments, and truly I had a hard time relaxing. My mind didn't want to be quiet!

Nascar--you mentioned that they looked at your tongue at your first appointment. My acupuncturist did too, then she asked me if I had had anything dark to drink--which I had not. What are they looking for? I was so nervous about the whole thing that I forgot to ask!

Praying...With the injectable estrogen, does it hurt? I am currently doing the Vivelle dot (estrogen) patch. I do not know why they call it a dot because it looks like a patch. Like you, my RE does one ultrasound right before the transfer. I go in next Friday, April 3.

Krissymexico...Thank you for mentioning about Shiatsu. Tonight, I am going to look in the phonebook and find someone who can perform shiatsu in my area. Shiatsu sounds like it would be worth a try. Oops, I forgot to mention that I also take wheat grass. The taste is horrid.

Wishing09...My ACP mentioned to me that dark means heat which in turns means stress. To be quite frank, this entire process is stressful. Last night, I downloaded a free mediation series on my IPOD.

I am hanging in there. Still on 5 units of Lupron, now on 6 estrace per day. Had an ultrasound today, lining looking good. Have another on Tuesday. Hoping and praying for the best.

FYI, I take prenatals as well. Can never be too careful

Prayingformiracle-my RE has me on both pre-natals and baby aspirin (I think it is to prevent blood clots?). I don't blame you for sticking with injectibles...why fix it if it ain't broken, huh?

Hi all

Thanks for all your support! I went for the first acupunture and cupping...it was great. It was so relaxing that I think I fell asleep...the cupping was quite odd and not sure if I will do it again...but I will definitely do acupunture again....she mentioned about not eating cold food....she said cold food takes the blood away to the stomach to warm it...she looked at my tongue and took my pulse too.

marthac...The nurse told me about 1 inch away from the belly button. For today, I had to put on 3 patches..two below the belly button and beside the belly button. The only side effect I've experience is a slight headache, but nothing like the lupron headache when I went in for the IVF last summer.

krissymexico...Just curious when do you the shiatsu massage? I'm trying to figure out if I try it next week and then continue the following week.

Hopeful12...I have not had the cupping before, but I've seen it. Did ACP say anything about herbs? My ACP placed little dots in both of my ears...several pressure points in the ear. Plus, she said for my DH to rub my ankles...something to do with the uterus. I'm not quite sure.

i am so upset is 6 days late, so for sure my transfer date is going to get pushed back.hopefully she will arive soon..

it seems almost everyone has started their cycles
nascar01.... i mix up the shiatsu with the acp.. 1 week i do monday acp. and friday shiatsu thn maybe the next week acp.2 a week it depends how im feelling emotionally like if i have alot of stress etc... but starting monday the acp will probobly do just acp.. since i have not gotten . i will do acp. the day before my transfer then i wait 2 days then i start my regular seccions 2 a week...

Polarbaby22 - now that you are up to 6 pills a day, I started my 6 pills today, do you feel bloated? I am always feeling so bloated and have to go to the bathroom all the time? I was curious if anyone else felt that way.

Nascar01- my acu didnt mention any herbs. He told me that I was too close to the time of transfer that the herbs was not a concern, that the actual needles were his concern. So, we are going 2x a week and will have it done at the clinic on the 8th. Its great, my clinic has a room set aside for acu. on the day of transfers. I thought that was great! And they actually use a local person for patients.

I will let everyone know on Monday how the lining and bloodwork is going. I am also taking a prenatal vitamin as well as baby aspirin. My doctor only every slightly mentioned the baby aspirin during the IVF cycle, so I took his advice this time and started to take the baby aspirin as well as the acu. I figure it cant hurt.

In response to the bloated question,,I prefer to call it fluffin up and yes I am fluffy. My boobs are like water balloons. I too pee all the time.

My fertility clinic has an acupuncturist who does lazer acup. one before the transfer and one right after. It worked for me last time.

Polarbaby - I am very "fluffy" too! We went to the beach yesterday and I didn't even want to be in a bathing suit... I felt like I already looked pregnant! I can't believe you're on 6 estrace/day! I'm only on 2.. that's the most I do for my cycles.

I feel like I'm the only one not doing acupuncture! We just really can't afford it on top of the money for treatment.

Praying - I'm on prenatals also. I use the Rainbow Light Ones; they sell them at Target and also at Whole Foods and they are very easy on my tummy! I started prenatals as soon as we started with the RE...

Tomorrow puts our countdown at 1 week! My lining was great on Wednesday (although a bit thinner than it was the previous cycle) but still in the good range... and I'm sure it's just getting thicker and thicker! Tonight's my last shot of Lupron! WOOHOO! Wednesday we start Endometrin (1x), then Thursday Endometrin 3x/day, start doxycyline too!. We're almost there .... YAY!
