marthac - YAY for ending BCP!!! I'm on estrace, not the patches, but they really thicken up your lining!!!

wishing - we are definitely cycle buddies! my transfer is 4/6 also! I'm not doing PIO though, I'm doing the suppositories luckily. I started them this morning!

Hi all

I just need to vent a bit...I hope it's ok...I got for my transfer on Monday. My hubby's insurance was great covered pretty much everything including meds...well he got laid off on March 10th. They covered him through March 31st and then I picked up insurance from my co. Of course it bites royally. They do not cover IVF at all and since he has a vas. they will not cover us even for IUI!! I am so angry right now...we will have to pay for the transfer and thawing process...I am waiting for the doctor to call me back to see if they can cut me a little bit of a break since this is try #3...my insurance will cover my prego tests at least...I hate insurance cos...ok vent over!

I am so sorry about your insurance issues. I actually quit my job in February and got a new job that has some insurance coverage for IVF. As if it is not stressful enough to go through all of this, we have to worry about the financial part too. I hope your RE will give you a break! Even with insurance we have spent thousands on failed IUIs, meds, etc. I keep telling myself it will be sooooo worth it when we have our baby. Good luck!

Hi ladies,

Hope everyone is hanging in there. I had u/s and b/w yesterday. Dont have to go back until next wednesday,,the day before my transfer. All is well, my lining was measuring 10 ( I think thats what he said). I guess that is good, doc wasnt concerned. Last Lupron will be this Sat. Will start progesterone shots Saturday as well as Doxy and Medrol. Will get to decrease estrace to 4 a day at that point. I AM FLUFFY RIGHT NOW. THESE HORMONES ARE MAKING ME VERY FLUFFY, OK I'M FAT!!!! LOL I also feel like I dont exactly like my hubby right now. Anyone else feel like this?

Anything for a baby right?! Hope you are all well.

wishing...I'm definitely a chicken when it comes to giving myself the projesterone shot. 3 cheers for you. :-)

marthac...You're very lucky about not getting the headaches with lupron. Lupron drove me crazy.

maybeamommy...Your transfer is around the corner. Are you excited?

hopeful...That bites! TTC is stressful, but dealing with the finances of TTC is enormous. Calling the doctor to see if he cuts you a break is a great idea. The cost of our FET is around $2000 and the IVF was about $12,000. At times, I would like to throw in the towel, but I tell myself to snap out of it and continue forward.

polar...I read your post really fast and thought that you said that you look like your hubby. I chuckled and read it again. Duh...on my part. I do feel like I'm on the bloated side but I think it is from the pizza that I had tonight. Shame on me!
This whole process is extremely stressful. Lately, DH and I have been very short with eachother. One day we sat and talked about what was happening...I needed reassurance from him that we were on the same page. It felt good.

I am sorry about your insurance. I have been paying each time we do something also. We are about in the 17,000 range now. My insurance only covers up to $2500 in meds. Its great we get that, but with the IVF - we still needed to pay out $800. I hope the dr. gives you a break - especially for try #3. I actually joked with my RE and told him that if we have to go do #3 - we should get a discounted rate. He just laughed it off. Little did he know, I was dead serious.

I have b/w and u/s tomorrow am. I will let you know how things are looking. Last u/s on Monday my lining was 6 - I am hoping for 8!!! I also have an acupuncture appt tomorrow afternoon. And set-up the appointment for next Wed. after the transfer treatment.

Crossing my fingers for everyone!!! I feel like I should do a team cheer and get us pumped up!

hi ladies,

just got bck from my dr.appointment i have been crying the whole hour ride back... so here goes the news.

the re likes estrogen to beat 50 on day 3 mine was 60, in the ultrasound he saw a folicle left over from last month so he wants another blood test on wed... and an ultrasound to see if my lineing is were it needs to be, if the estrogen and the lineing does not match my cycle might get cancelled.im my body does not let me down and that i get good news on wed.. im still not giving up...

maybemommy.... the reason i hate estrogen and the preogesterone is that my body does not react to well to either i get so bloated, my bbs get huge, and i get so swollen so if i can skip the estrogen im a happy camper..

hopeful12.... i really hope you get a dicount, in mexico insurance will not pay for ivf or medications so my dh and i have been paying for this whole procedure since dic... i hope this fet cycle works this time becase i only have 2 embryos left and i can not afford a whole harvesting, icsi, ivf again.

im going to do alot of praying and meditating this week and hope for the best...

Thanks for listening to my rant...I have not heard back from them...I'm going to call again today. I was looking at their pricing and the FET is $1,200 which includes the thawing, lab fees and the transfer...the insurance co said that the preggo tests are then covered...so I maybe out $1500 to $2000 which is not too bad considering if I was in the middle of a regular IVF cycle, it would be much much more.

I started the prometrium suppositories yesterday...they are so yucky, but I'll do whatever it it takes!

Krissy - I hope the cyst dissappears and all your numbers aer on track

polarbaby - you cracked me up...hubby gets on my nerves at times too...I think he knows just the right one and keeps going LOL!!

Nascar01--I am a fantastic self-shot-giver! I only poked myself in the hand once! Sad that I've been a nurse for over 10 yrs and have never had a needlestick until I try to poke myself!

I know a few people are transferring on Monday--who are you all again? I'm getting really excited! I am definately enjoying this cycle much more than my fresh cycle! Looking forward to taking it easy for a few days. Going to try to squeeze in an acupuncture treatment the morning of. Good luck everyone!
