Hopeful - I'm sorry about your headache. I've been having migraines mixed with the other annoying headaches. From what I've read, it's common in pregnancy to have headaches and migraines. Those who have had them prior to being pregnant sometimes have less and sometimes have more.

Martha - I'm glad you are doing better this week. I know what you mean about only being good for short periods of time. I hope that we start to feel better soon. I will find out what she was taking and let you know.

Northeast girl - that's crazy having to wait, how dare she go into labor. What makes the doctor think her labor will pass so quickly?

Mery - I'm sorry about your nightmares, I've been having the strangest dreams too (some nightmares and some just strange). I'm sure your NT scan will go good. Time will fly before you know it, it will be time for the scan.

Cathi - Good luck on your scan on Wednesday. Has the doctor given you anything for the UTI?

asm, I had headaches all weekend long and today woke up with a migraine. I of course did not go to work, but now I need a doctor's note to return to work. I called my primary care physician and they got me in this morning. I told him the whole saga from last week and he agreed that it was a little disregard that OB ordered that prescription. He said I don't even prescribe this stuff for my patients who aren't preggers. Basically, he told me I'm pregnant and the headaches are just part of that. He said there's not much I can do to make them go away, but he did suggest I try some herbal and natural treatments. I told him I needed a note to return to work and he said, "Haven't you told them at work you are pregnant and just won't feel good some days?" He made me laugh. He even filled out my FMLA paperwork and while he was going through that he made me laugh harder, it was like he thought the paperwork was ridiculous. So I will go back to work hopefully tomorrow. I'm tired of staying home because there is so much cleaning that needs to be done and yet I have no energy for cleaning so I just get to look at it and want to clean it. I hope everyone has a good day!

holding - I am glad you got to see the doctor even though he could not do much it sometime feels good to see a doc who cares. I can totally relate to how you feel now...I am doing better today but yesterday was really bad. Did he mention cold compresses at all? I've read it's common as well..I also red that constipation causes headaches...another symthom I have. Hang in there and hopefully you will get through this tough time. The work situation really bites! Take care of yourself!!

martha - i am glad you are feeling OK..i bet you are tired with three little bundles inside of you...that has got to take up SOOOOOOOOO much of your energy!! as for the work drama, i am just ignoring it today and feel much better!

cathi - i am glad you are doing well! i know, i have to potty at least twice a night..it wakes me up...the dreams and nightmares are soooooo crazy...i've had ALL kinds of weird dreams...every night! they are bizarre. i'm glad i'm not the only one. i hope your UTI gets better soon!

northeastgirl - well, how dare she..lol! you will get your answer soon! let us know!!!

holding - i am SOOOO glad you are able to see a doctor. yes, i've read that headaches are common in pregnancy. i just hope yours go away soon! have you tried acupuncture for the headaches? i know acupuncture has worked wonders on me and i have been to her with headaches before among other ailments I've had and it totally helps...i don't why i didn't think about this before..duh. it's worth a shot, and it will relax you and help with the stress. just make sure you go to someone reputable!

still waiting to get the heck out of work i have a couple more hours..then i stop home to get dh and we will be off to the scan.

Hopeful - I was told about cold compress. A friend told me to put the cold compress on the back of your neck. I've also read that with migraines cold showers will help (don't know that I will do the cold shower thing though, I like my showers WARM).

Mery - I have been to an acupunture, but not for headaches. I have to pay a pretty penny everytime I go, so I don't really like going that much. Course between not going to work and taking FMLA, I'm not getting money either.

Oh I was going to tell you guys, yesterday I bought a fetal doppler off ebay. I can't wait to get it. I hope I didn't just waste my money. With the headaches I've been wanting to hear the heartbeat to make sure the baby is doing good. Unfotunately, my PCP didn't have a doppler and I don't see another OB until July 1st. So, I can't wait to get mine. My hubby told me if it will make me feel better to get it.

holding - oh, i know...it does cost alot! i've been going forever it seems, before i was pg for really bad AF cramps...so bad i would miss work...it's helped alot. i have been going twice a week for the entire first trimester..this is my last week...now i can start saving some money! let us know how the doppler works! sound like fun!!

we just got back from NT scan and everything looked perfect they said...PHEW and HB was 158! they combined the blood and the scan and they said it is right on! i am so relieved to cross another hurdle! the baby was moving like crazy..it was funny because he would sit still, then push his legs off my uterus is what she said and was going crazy..i loved it! they want me to do genetic counseling so i guess i will be doing that within the next 4 weeks or so when they do the anatomy scan. she said all body parts and everything looked perfect, but, with the anatomy scan they can see more...oh by the way...the most awesome news of all...SHE'S ALMOST POSITIVE IT'S A BOY!!!!! i swear, when she said that, the feeling that came over me was just so cool, i just cannot explain it, i just started crying..and looking at DH...he's always dreamed of having a son and the look on his face was priceless! i attached one of the pics from the scan!

Hello ladies,
I am back. Well, the bean is doing ok. HB of 166... I am happy about that, but the bad news are that they still did not have the results from my bloodwork, so we were talking hypothetically about fifth disease and what we would do. He thinks that by tomorrow we'll have the results and he will call me back. One thing that he said and calmed me down, was that he has not seen a fetal death b/c of this disease. I needed to hear that. He said that he would send me for about 3-4 level 2 u/s in order to make sure things are ok. We talked a lot about all the tests needed, but as I left, I realized that I didn't make an appt for an NT scan and I am running out of time. I will have to call them again tomorrow and make the appt.

Mery: That's great news!!! A boy!!!! Congrats!!!! How nice.

Holdingmybreath...I am curious about the fetal doppler. Looks interesting. My friend keeps reminding me to play classical musical for the baby every day. I have not done so yet.

AFM...Things are going well. Yesterday was my first day back inside a grocery store in a couple of months. My sense of smell is on "red alert." I smell everything and anything especially the nonpleasant smells.

Hi Nascar - I know what you mean about the smells! Someone must had something with garlic in it this morning on the train...I could not take it and had to switch cars...certain things I'm ok with others blaaaak!! Hazletnut coffee smells like fried chicken to me...why I dunno why!! My mil drinks it every afternoon so when I get home I think we're having fried chicken for dinner LOL!

Isn't it unbelieveable that this time next year our little ones will be about to crawl...time flies!

After being fed up about finances, I got on the phone with an insurance rep to complain about my lousy IVF coverage and she said she thinks there were some mistakes made on their part and she is re-filing a bunch of my claims! I pray we get some reimbursement Also, today is Dh and my 2nd anniversary, but I feel like dooky today, so we may have to go out this weekend. I am so excited to give him his gift. He always sees the "Magic Bullet" food processor on info-mercials and has wanted one so bad, so that's what I got him! He has funny taste in gifts!!!
