Holding: I know what you mean about looking huge. We were out to a restaurant the other night, and my hubby noticed a woman that was very very pregnant. He looks at me and says: "I hope she's having twins".. I looked at him and told him that in a few months I might look like that and I am only carrying one! He laughed... But really, our hubbies don't care. Mine keeps thanking me for going through everything to have our DD, and now he can't stop thanking me about the second one! He's sooooo sweet!

Hopeful: Told you it's a phase! Hopefully, it'll continue the same way. It's all the feelings of been pregnant and all the thoughts that keep us up!!!! But it does get better...

Mery: My next OB appt is on Wed. I can't wait to hear the HB. My anatomy scan is on the 31st as well (I think that hopeful has the same date).... I really don't care if it's a boy or a girl... Either one would be great, I just want a healthy baby!!! But I will still find out, so that I can prepare the room...

Today we went to a Greek festival. Yummy food. Loved it. I had more than I needed to, so I am sure than on Wed, my OB will scold me about the weight! Oh well, it was worth every bite!!!

Have a great night everyone.

Hi Girlies! My in-laws just left...they were so great and fixed stuff and cleaned the house, which is sooo nice b/c it has not been so clean lately. I was thinking about my OB appt last week, and decided I am not 100% sure about my new doc (my old OB just moved out of state). He has only delivered one set of triplets (and he is probably about 55), but no one in the practice has much experience w/trips, so I don't know where to go. I thought I would be seeing a high risk OB right away, but my OB said it would not be for several weeks. I feel a little lost right now.

Mery- Our families are all sooo excited about the pregnancy and can't stop talking about the triplets...they were very surprised (they don't know we did IVF)!

Hopeful-your DH sounds so sweet! I can't wait to go shopping for baby stuff!

Cathi-Oh, a little girl...how sweet!!! I'm glad your cerclage went well.

Holding- I still have m/s too, and I know what you mean about the mall...I can only stand it for a short time before needing to leave.

Northeast- I love Greek food...that sounds yummy! I'm excited for you to hear the h/b on Wed!

Hopefully I will have internet at work this week to keep up w/you all!!!

martha, my suggestion would be to be seen by a peri as soon as you can, because of possible thinning of the cervix. You don't want to be wait too long, especially because from week 16-18 you can start seeing a difference. You are almost there, so it's a good idea to be followed very very closely. As for delivery of triplets, I have no idea what experience would be required. I am assuming that the most important thing would be to be in a very good hospital with a very good NICU. Again, a peri would be able to help you with that decision.

Afm, today I did a major cleaning of the garage. DH helped greatly and we really made a difference in there. Since we moved in about 1.5 years ago, we really hadn't touched the garage. I was pretty pregnant back then, and afterwards with the child it was hard to be able to clean. Well, today we did it. I am soooooo happy about that. There are a couple of other rooms like that in the house, but slowly we'll get to them. Hopefully during my second trimester before I get too big!

I hope everyone enjoyed the day. It was such a nice day here today. I loved it!

Martha,

I also agree with Northeast...You need to locate a Peri in your area sooner than later. Don't rely on your OB to do it. There are 2 different kinds of Peri MFM'S....One that work with your OB and the other that delivers babies so they would be your OB.

When I had the Trips I chose to leave my Ob and go to the Peri's only. you get very close care. Plus you don't have too many opinions. You could find out which local hospital has a level 3 NICU. Then you could find out which PERI's deliver there. I found a great practice with the triplets, that I am still going to. They only deal with High risk pregnancies and that is what you need. I wouldn't wait too too long because for triplet pregnancies they usually get you on progestrone shots once a week starting 15 weeks. It helps with pre-term labor. I am sure with my shortening cervix this time, I will also be on them by next week. They are simular to the ones we all took at the RE's office. I am sure I gave you this website before but the triplet connection forum, is awesome there are about 3000 triplet mommies there. I have made life long friends....Good luck to you...My triplet pregnancy is still fresh in my mind, so please let me know if you have any questions.

Martha - I am going to agree with the others...I am going to a high risk doc along with my ob...both docs consult and talk with each other about me...he is so good to have more care than less..please make an appointment.

holding - glad you are feeling a little better... what;s the word on the house...do you have a closing date?

Northeast - I had three in a row and then last night was a little rough, but I'm not good on Sunday nights usually so I'm not going to count it. Glad you got a lot done. We are looking into moving since we really do not have much room since MIL is living with us..she keeps asking where were are going to move and I am not sure she is too happy with the New Jersey answer....hey she doesn't have to come LOL!!
But I will be chucking everything before we move...we have so many things that I need to get rid of...I have been doing it slowly.. Yes we have the anatomy scan the same day....my mom wants to know but she can't keep a secret.

cathi -at this point now that I know he wants a girl...I'm shooting for big chubby and healthy! Me and my hubby are tall so he keeps joking that we are going to have a really big baby...he and I both were about 8 pounds...That's fine with me...I'm afraid of tiny babies!

afm- Went to look at cribs again yesterday with my mom and I still like the first one I saw. Babies R Us is starting to carry motherhood clothing..I guess one stop shopping. I think I am starting to feel more movement...this morning I was lying in bed before it was time to get up and it was really quiet and I felt a few flutters...then alot...I guess he/she is a morning baby!

Have a great day all!

hopeful - we looked at cribs and strollers too...they had a huge sale at this really great baby place near us, so we ordered our crib...we got $150 off, plus a really nice mattress for free..my mom and dad bought it, so we will just wait to assemble anything for another couple months or so...it is really nice! dh sounds soo cute..mine does the same to my tummy too. my mom and dad have bought just a few things, and so have we...it is sooo much fun! i am glad you are sleeping better..good luck on the house hunt!!!

cathi - so, maybe a little girl! HOW CUTE!! i hope you are resting. are you off work for good now??

holding - yeah, the weight is OK, I just am going to start eating more veggies and see how that goes. i will not obsess over it though, because i want to make sure baby is getting enough of what he needs! how's the m/s doing...I HOPE BETTER! i didn't feel too great yesterday, but better today!

northeastgirl - i am glad you get to hear the hb again on wednesday..the greek festival sounds yummy! i LOVE greek food. we are doing some cleaning ourselves..lots of it. i just want everything perfect for when he arrives!

martha - i knew they would be excited, and then when you told them 3 babies, i bet they were over the moon! i too think you need to go to a peri sooner than later..just to be sure all is well with the 3! that is so nice they helped you clean! my mom is going to come help me clean my walk in closet, it's very unorganized!

afm - my anatomy scan is 7/31 too!! so there are 3 of us with the same date!! what a HOT weekend here...it was toooo hot! we visited some friends on saturday, she was a bridesmaid in my wedding and is due 4 days after me which is so exciting! and then yesterday stayed in the pool for a few hours...it was sooo nice! thank goodness for a/c because it is supposed to even get hotter! i have only felt the baby a couple of times...ob says not to worry, give it a little more time and he won't stop moving!!!

Hopeful---8 lb baby would be nice..mine were only 1.5 lbs last time, so anthing bigger is going to seem enormous for me.. it is so fun picking out cribs...We have the nursery painted a crib and changing table all set up, from the triplets. the crib is all decked out in pink...So if we are having a little girl it will work out perfectly. We also have a bunch of other things we were unable to return. Our nursery is painted for the triplets. We did chocolate around the whole bottom with a chair rail. each wall is a different color. one pink,blue,green,yellow... I love the way it looks..my hubby wants to paint all the walls pink if it is a little girl...he is so cute..

Mery--Yes I am out of work...it was planned though, i planned on going out when I got the cerclage, I figured I would just be on house arrest..I am a police officer so I am very lucky, we have a sick leave pool for out of work issues..we have years of time stored in the bank...so I am using that while I am out...So I will still get pay checks.it really takes the stress off of worrying about $$$.

wow cathi.... that's fantastic... I wish I had time off. I have no benefits. I work two days a week w/out benefits. Last job I had have unlimited sick leave (that was amazing) but we moved from CT to MA and I had to leave the job... Oh well. you are lucky.

Hopeful: I also woke up last night and couldn't go back to bed. I was ready to get out to bed at 5 am and start doing housework, but finally I went back to sleep after 2 hours. Not fun... I am tired today....

Mery: You also have the anatomy scan on the 31st!!! How nice. That makes 3 of us. I am excited. Also, I was talking to my DH about possibly starting to look for cribs, but he would like to wait a little. Maybe in a couple of months we'll start looking!!!

Have a great day everyone...

mery - I hope you built up some time. I get 5 weeks because I have been here for 21 years and because of my title. We are allowed to carry 2 over so I have about 7 weeks, plus some personal and floating days. When I went for the transfer all three times they gave me sick leave...so I did not have to use any days...I am struggling to get rid of the carry over 2008 days...but this year and next year will not be an issue with the baby. I've been talking with the HR folks....we get two weeks before your due date unless the doc puts me out earlier and then 13 weeks for m/l...I am going to take an additional month I think in vacation....there are so many variables though...if you have a c section you get two more weeks...post partum...as much as 26 paid then FMLA..but you are in HR so you know these things..

hopeful - i do know some of the information, but i don't work on the benefits side, i work in recruiting. i did though just happen to talk to the girl and she told me after the 6 weeks, yes, we only get 6 weeks short term disability....and then 2 weeks before the baby is born to go out. i want to take 4 weeks before the due date...then after the 6 weeks STD, i am going to take FMLA for 3 months, then i can take up to 6 months after that leave without. i want to take a total of at least 5 months. the budget is really bad here, so i am sure they will like me take some leave without...we are saving money now! and we also own our own plumbing contracting business so as long as we are busy, we should be OK!!!

Hi everyone

Just got a call regarding my second results of the NT...The Peri's office is so pushing for me to get the amnio....I went from 1/99 (less about a 1% chance) to 1/150 (which is less than 1% chance)...I spoke with my doc and he suggested I go for another sono...like the 20 week just sooner...so I am going next week. See the worry never ends.
