Glad to see everyone is moving forward with their cycle.
My embabies became snowbabies on Thursday, so I will officially be doing a single embryo transfer the end of this month as long as comes roughly on time. I'm doing a natural cycle, so I just have to wait and see.

Hello everyone.
Well it is day 4 of the Estrogen pills, and oh my they are killing me. I changed doctor from my first fresh IVF (March 2009 BFN) to my FET doctor (May 2009 ) and my new doctor is doing a totally different protocol. Estrogen pills vs. patches, Progesterone shots vs. gel, ugh..I almost think this cycle is as hard as the fresh. I am totally drained and just feel like doing nothing and the estrogen is making me sick to my stomach constantly. I guess I should get used to it, because in the end, it will all be worth it. Well just venting about how crappy I feel LOL..thanks for listening ladies. Mel |

Hi Mel..I'm on day 12 of the estrogen pills..and I promise it does get better. I felt like you did...sick to my stomach, bloating etc (ok, I still have the bloating!!). I started with two pills orally, and on day 3 increased to 3 pills..2 orally and I have to put one in..well you know where..before I go to bed. I'm just thankful I don't feel nauseous any longer!...so hang in there!
As you said, it will be worth it in the end. We'll all just keep our eyes on the target!

Hello ladies,
Yes all is still good with us FET 5-15-09...I cannot wait, I feel so positive about this cycle, vs. last one I was so nervous I think my mind killed the entire process for me. I am on day 5 of the estrogen pills, seems to be pretty good so far today, but it is still early. Yesterday was rough, was ready for bed by 3pm. Well take care ladies, we will talk again later this week. Also, anyone have any POI experience? I have not done them yet just the gel suppositories. Thanks, Mel

WAITIN, pio = progesterone in oil. yep, those shots. except i NEVER get black and blue. they don't hurt much either since i have a system. then again, i have a little extra butt padding so maybe that is why you'd bruise. never heard of anyone else bruising. ha. that would suck!!! you couldn't sit anywhere! I am starting bloodthinners tomorrow. now those will bruise you. yikes!!

I did PIO and had some issues with my last cycle. I am not sure if we did not rub it in well enough or what, but i had like aweful bruising, but it was like red and raised. IT did not go away for about a month and itched like crazy. The determined that i was allergic to sesame! So this time i will be doing progesterone in ethololiate. It is much thinner. So fingers crossed:-)
How many estrogen pills are you all on each day? i take 6, i hope that is normal! 3 in the am, 3 in the pm. I am doing one shot of ganorlix instead of lupron per day for 7 days. Today was day 3, so far so good! |

Wow, Caty. I can't imagine having an allergic reaction to it. That is terrible. Well the new stuff should make quite a difference. I didn't ice. I took a hot shower in the morning while DH warmed the oil in his hand. Warmer the oil (NOT HOT!!) the thinner it gets (like cooking). He'd give me the shot and then I'd put a napkin on it for a sec and then rub it a little and put a heating pad on my rear while i did my make up. i've also heard that doing it in the morning is best since you walk around all day and help the oil dissipate rather than stay localized and make lumps. good luck!!
