Chitchat, there have been a number of stories of negative pee sticks and positive clinic beta tests. And yes, 3 days makes a big difference. Especially with a late implanted.

Z_momma, don't you know by now that AF is evil. She always comes late when you need her to arrive. And she is early when you don't want her. Seriously, I am only late when I cycle. Evil AF.

Caty, just out of curiousity, why are you doing PIO and prometrium together? And if you are having inflammatory response to the injections, why not stop to let your body be peaceful? Did she offer an explanation? Can they offer an antihistamine? Can you see an allergist? Allergic to progesterone? - MotheringDotCommunity Forums

InvisibleDisability: More on Progesterone Allergy
I don't mean to be alarmist and maybe I am just totally off the mark. I just think allergies shouldn't be ignored too long. Here's to a long happy months all round and preggo!

AFM - 11 days til my transfer!! I go in for bloodwork today to see if my estrogen is lining with a proper FET preparation. Wish me luck!

Caty- Good Luck on your transfer!!

Chit- I'll keep my fingers crossed for your Beta.

Mommasoon- Good luck with your BW today.

Sandy started Estrace Friday. As far as we know everything is on track.
Time seems to be moving slow, the end of the month seems so far away.

Sorry to barge in on your thread....

Guys,

Sorry to barge in on the thread. We are doing an FET in July. Met with the RE yesterday and he went over the protocol. I noticed on here that most of you have Lupron in your FET protocol.

My FET protocol is BCP for 21 days, wait for AF, then estrogon shots every three days. I asked why no lupron? And was told that this has been their protocol for FET for a long time.

Just wondering if that makes sense to you guys.

Thanks,
Lorey

Hey Lorey, in a quick google search, I found the following link that might help you. Family Beginnings - About Frozen Embryo Transfer - Indiana

Dose anyone’s FET protocol dose not have lupron? - Fertile Thoughts

Lorey,

I just went through FET, Lupron was NOT part of my protocal, I did BCP until my AF, then started estrace twice a day, I also do proges. shots once a day. I also was concerned because everyone here had that in their protocol, But if you look at my Sig.. you will see lupron was not needed. I did lupron during my fresh cycle last year...to be honest I am glad I did not need it. I just think all doctors are different... Good luck to you !!!! Cathi

Thanks!

Cathi and Mamasoon! Thanks for the quick info.

Cathi congrats on you recent BFP! I hope you have a an awesome 9 months. I too hated the Lupron on the 1st IVF. 2nd time around not so bad b/c we did half the dose. So no complaints that it is not part of the protocol just the normal obsessing about it missing and if that is the preferred treatment path!

Mamasoon- I lurk on your blog from time to time. I am sending lots of babydust your way. Thanks for your advice. Congrats on the house sale.

Hello ladies, here is my latest update...

Stopped Lupron 5-10-09 (last shot) and started PIO, antibiotics, Medrol on 5-11-09...feeling better now that I am off the Lupron, however dupa hurts from the PIO shots, but getting by.

FET 5-15-09, still on schedule, RE said lining looks great, Estrogen level is great, and we are doing 3 frozen embies.

BETA will most likely be 5-29-09.

Sorry so short but I am swamped with work, my catering business is picking up big time, which helps to keep me busy

Take Care everyone and good luck to everyone, we will talk again next week.

I guess every RE is different. With the Estrace Sandy takes 2 2x a day then it goes up to 2 3x a day. The day of the U/S she takes the Medrol until the day of the transfer. And of course the PIO.

MamaSoon how did your BW go?

Hi girlies,
Sorry I haven't checked in for a while, but this cycle has already been such a rollercoster (long story), I'm trying to take a break from the boards from time to time to keep balanced. I have been reading all of your stories and I wish everyone of you the best.

Cathi-Congrats on your BFP!!
Chitchat-keeping my fingers crossed, and hoping for that BFP!
Zmomma-congrats on getting your calendar, you are on your way
Momasoon-how did your appt go? Hoping time flies by!

As for me, my lining is staying at 7mm, but we are a go for tomorrow!! I've finished my antibiotics, steroids, and am still taking estrace 3xd, vivelle dots 4eod, PIO 1ml, and progesterone supps 1xd. I'm going in at 945 and wont be home until 130. I probably wont be able to check in until sat. Wish me and my 1 little embie luck, we sure do need it!!!

Chitchat, I wanted to tell you not to give up until you get your blood test. I did a home test the day of my first blood test with my son, and it was negative. I was heartbroken and had given up. I got the call later that day with my blood results and it was positive. So it does happen.

Mamasoon, thank you so much for the links and info. I am on prometrium and PIO because i would need two shots a night beucase i need about 4 ccs of the pio. so they are substituting the prometrium for 2 of those cc's. and i get it around the clock. morning pill, dinner shot, bed is a pill. I was defintely allergic to the progesterone in ethol oliate, my hives have gone away:-) so it was the oil. I am not allergic to the PIO as they thought. I just need to rub it in better! What is an intralipid transfer, if you don't mind me asking?

TKO6666 - Good luck today!

z-momma - they have me taking flinstone vitamins due to the constipation that comes with the prenatals. I take 2 a day.

So here is a little update. I went in yesterday for my transfer! I had 2 embies transfered, one was a 4 cell A-, the other a 6 cell B+. It was a day 3 transfer. Everything went so well. My embryo quality was so much better then my last transfer, they gave me like a B- and a C+. So I am wishing, hoping, praying and everything else i can do so this works!
I have two blasts still frozen, but won't be able to do another cycle until this time in 2010 because of wedding season.
So far i have not felt any different other then cramps about 2 hours after transfer and some weird pain in my leg last night.

best of luck ladies! my first test is on the 22nd. I am tempted to test at home, but given how it worked out last time (with the negative) I might just hold out!

Caty - Congrats on the transfer.

arrived for me so now I am just waiting for my CD8 appt. I'm that I ovulate on the 24th or before. The soccer kids I coach have a tournament on the 30th so if I ovlulate on the 25th I will miss the tournament for the ET. I should have about 2 weeks until my transfer now.
